Jerome Increase Case founded the J.I. Case Company in 1842 and focused primarily on the production of quality threshing machines. In 1844 the company was moved to Racine, Wisconsin where threshing machines and steam engines were built through 1892 when the addition of the first Case gasoline tractor was built. In the late 50s Case began producing construction equipment and agricultural tractors with a Case-O-Matic transmission. The beginning of the 30 series tractors started in 1962 and would continue through 1969 when the Agri King 70 series tractors were introduced and in service till 1979 when 90 Series tractors were introduced and produced through 1983 when the 94 series was built until International Harvester’s agricultural division was acquired in 1985 and CASE IH was officially consolidated in 1986. After this point the rest of the tractors that were produced were painted red and labeled CASE IH.
