SUPERSPAR Boland celebrates 35 years of serving the Piketberg community!

Iewers sal jy ‘n gaaitjie kry waarin jou skeppings pas.

SUPERSPAR Boland celebrates 35 years of serving the Piketberg community. Philip, Tanya, Dean, Lauren and Robert Jankielsohn surrounded by their staff.

Family values are very important to the Jankielsohn family, and SUPERSPAR Boland – its staff and customers - are all very much part of this family. With innovative upgrades in an array of service departments, and an increased focus on fresh produce, they continue to build on solid foundations, always putting their customers first. Modernized interior SUPERSPAR Boland, in keeping with retail trends, has modernized its interior. A major revamp focuses on making life easier for its customers – creating a friendly, safe, and spacious shopping environment that’s easy to shop, is well merchandised, with newly extended ranges. A major drive to enhance the concept of ‘Fresh’ means innovation on all fronts. SUPERSPAR Boland has employed a top chef, Sebastian Smith, who will develop new products, train staff and lift store standards to new heights. “We want to be effective and productive in everything we do,” says Dean. The SUPERSPAR team have elevated the Bean Tree café by re-doing the menu and adding a convenient ‘grab ‘n go’, allowing customers to be serviced quickly and effectively. “We have extended our ranges and modernized equipment in our service departments to heighten the In Slavenhuis benoem shopping experience.” The very popular ‘Chikka Chicken’ concept ‘store’ has upgraded its service area, by adding a till point, and modernized equipment, offering customers speedier service. In the Butchery department, customers are spoilt for choice, and will find special cuts and dry age meats, prepared by the highly trained butcher. Preparation tips and ways to prepare superior cuts will be available on an iPad reader. A Biltong Bar remains a popular concept at SUPERSPAR Boland. It offers a range of more than 25 different products. The focus on innovation and fresh continues in the Bakery department. A range of artisan breads are baked fresh on the premises, along with the best doughnuts in the business. Modern, new equipment includes professional, electronic shelf edged pricing labels. Customers are ensured that the price advertised on the shelf translates at the till point. “By supporting SPAR brand you are getting ‘as good as the best, for less’, and you are proudly local,” says Dean. “If a customer wants to buy in bulk, then we will ensure that they too are catered for.” Car give-away! In celebration of 35 years of doing business in the community, and as a way of saying thank you, SUPERSPAR Boland will be giving away a brand-new car in the month of November. As customers move into the festive season, they will be delighted with a superior shopping experience and might just be the lucky winner of a car! Issued on behalf of SUPERSPAR Boland.
