City gov’t to distribute 385 computers to public schools in Gensan By Pops Gumana -Fruylan GENERAL SANTOS CITY -- The local government here announced last week the distribution of 385 more computers to public elementary and secondary schools in the city.
Report from office of the SHEEP-Computer Literacy Program (CLP) disclosed that Mayor Darlene AntoninoCustodio recently approved the budget to purchase additional brand new computers to complete the computerization of all 96 public schools in Gensan. “Two hundred fiftyfive more computers will be given to the remaining 27 elementary schools in the city while 130 units will be distributed to

12 secondary schools,” said SHEEP-CLP head Percival Pasuelo. Mayor Custodio earlier disclosed that the computerization of all public schools in Gensan through the SHEEP-CLP is one of her administration’s programs to improve the quality of education in public schools of the city to make them globally competitive.
