PCCI to oversee BIMP-EAGA Desk in Region 12 by CT Apelacio GENERAL SANTOS CITY– The Regional Development Council (RDC) 12 has designated the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) Southwestern Mindanao Regional Office based here as SOCCSKSARGEN’s coordinating desk for the Brunei-Indonesia-Malaysia-Philippines East ASEAN Growth Area or the BIMP-EAGA. The RDC-12 is the highest policy-making body in South Cotabato-Cotabato-Sultan KudaratSarangani-General Santos or SOCCSKSARGEN Region. With the designation, PCCI is now the region’s official “gateway and conduit” of all BIMP-EAGA trading and economic relations concerns with the East ASEAN trading areas of Brunei, Indonesia and Malaysia. PCCI Southwestern Mindanao’s designation came about with the endorsement of “RDC 12 Economic Development
Committee” through a resolution passed during its 36th regular meeting on December 7 in Alabel town, Sarangani. The move was aimed
