VALENCIA CITY, Bukidnon - A whirlwind or thunderstorm, locally known as “ipo-ipo” ripped through two (2) villages in Valencia City, injuring 84-year old resident at 3:45 p.m on July 24. Described as a sudden occurrence of funnel-shaped strong winds from the sky, hitting down grounds in powerful twisting motion, the whirlwind rapidly devastated 10 households and 6 commercial buildings along its path. It tore off roofs of a school building, City Hall administration extension office, and uprooted some decade-old trees in the city.
