outh Cotabato’s Department of Agrarian recently embarked on an information campaign for Republic Act 9700 otherwise known as the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program with Reforms. But instead of simply gathering agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in community meetings, DAR So. Cotabato has brought with them an array of other services including a medical caravan and many other services through line agencies in the region.
The activity tagged as “Info- Med Caravan” was held at Brgy Aflek, T’boli on September 14 and Brgy Lower Maculan, Lake Sebu on September 21. Another one is scheduled for Brgy Buenavista, Surallah on Wednesday. Felix Frias, provincial agrarian reform offi-
cer II, said although the activity was primarily intended for ARBs, other residents in the area also benefited from the services. In the first two medical missions, 208 persons were served with medical check up, 91 with dental services, and 25 in circumcision. 35
