Participants of the 2-day RMC were the Regional Directors of the Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) and Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB), DENR-10 Regional Technical Directors, Provincial and Community Environment and Natural Resources Offices (PENRO/CENRO), division chiefs and support staff. Galinato said the Protected Areas, Wildlife and Coastal Zone Management Service (PAWCZMS) topped the accomplishment with 81.91 percent, followed by Ecosystem Research and Development Service (ERDS) with 75.24 percent, Land Management Service (LMS) with 74 percent and Forest Management Service (FMS) with 70.66 percent. the regional officials to help each other in accomplishing the regional targets, as she cautioned them to be extra careful in dealing with NGP activities. She, further, instructed the officials for the identification of the needed seedling preference, the area where they will be planted, proper documentation of reports and for them to submit NGP pictorials of sites, particularly before, during and after planting. It was gathered that training and accreditation of nursery operations will be undertaken by the regional office. Aside from Regional Directors Sabdullah Abubacar of EMB and Alfredo Relampagos of MGB, the PENRO’s and the division chiefs also presented their respective accomplishments covering the period January to September 30, this year. DILG takes lead in PPEI project implementation CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, Misamis Oriental- The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) will be the lead agency that shall review the use of revenues from natural resources. This was revealed by Regional Director Loreto M. Bhagwani of DILG, region 10, who said DILG will also serve as the link to poverty-environment opportunities with key planning and budgeting guidelines of local government units (LGUs) including application of LGU best practices. four (4) other government agencies for the implementation of the Philippine Poverty Environment Initiative (PPEI) project that seeks to reduce poverty in the country. These agencies are the Departments of Finance (DOF), Budget and Management (DBM), Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) and the National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC).
