Our products are made from recycled plastic water bottles! 8 to 26 water bottles are kept out of landfills for every product we manufacture.

We are very proud to play a role in taking care of the earth we love. Our offices, factory and warehouse are 100% powered by wind energy through Xcel energy. We produce zero waste water during our manufacturing process, and our facility is 99% waste free. Every scrap of fabric, piece of paper and plastic bottle is recycled, keeping our footprint minimal.

A LETTER FROM THE CEO Family and friends have a special meaning to our sport. They are the reason most of us strapped a board on our feet or clicked into a pair of skis. Without them, many of us may have never ventured down the frozen slopes that we now adore. Take a minute to think about that, never getting on a chairlift. No feeling of accomplishment from conquering your first black diamond. The sensation of ‘air-time’ would never be known to you. No powder…need I say more?

If you’ve been lucky to spend enough time at the hill for it to feel like home, you know that feeling doesn’t go away when you ride somewhere new. Something about the early mornings, the snow covered trees, the slushy park, the ‘secret’ spots…creates what I can only describe as an exhilarated state of challenging familiarity.

Chances are that any and every person that reads this has given one of our sports a try, and even better odds are that their family or friends got them to give it a chance. I have one message for those who didn’t have to be coerced to ride some contraption with metal edges and waxed for speed down a snow and ice covered mountain by a trusted friend or family member - you’re nuts, and I’m so glad you’re a part of this community, never change.

Community, thats really what we are, all suffering from the same love for skiing and snowboarding.

Regardless of age, gender, political affiliation, orientation, profession, ethnicity, or any other demographic that divides groups of people.

I want to thank my family for introducing me to the sports that fully encompass every aspect of my life today, and my friends for keeping it fun. Without either of you, I wouldn’t be a part of this community.

We take great pride in the fact that we manufacture all Phunkshun Wear products in the United States of America. Everything we sell is designed, cut, sewn, printed, and shipped from Denver, Colorado using American-Milled Fabrics.

Producing quality products is our top priority, and it’s a major reason why we decided to manufacture products in-house instead of outsourcing. It also gives us the ability to experiment with fabrics, cut/sew patterns, and graphics like virtually no one else can. This is also the reason we can offer our industry-exclusive Zero-Minimum custom graphic service.

DESIGN Design is at the foundation of all that we create. It starts with an idea, that starts taking shape in the form of graphics or cut & sew patterns, and goes through the different stages of production to become a physical product.

DYE SUBLIMATION PRINTING Graphics are printed using the latest in top of the line Epson dye sublimation technology. Our printers live in a climate-controlled environment that ensures quality color saturation and sharpness.

HEAT TRANSFER Fabric panels are cut from 60-yard long rolls of USA-Milled fabric, and then combined with the printed graphics and run through a 400-degree rotary press to transfer the artwork onto fabric.

SEWN IN COLORADO Once transferred the fabric panels make their way to our team of talented sewers who carefully sew each product together. Some are sewn in stages, while others are able to be sewn start-to-finish.

QUALITY CONTROL & PACKAGING After graduating from sewing, the masks enter our Quality Inspection department, where they are inspected for flaws in the three areas; Fabric, Sewing, Graphics. After passing they are packaged and placed into inventory.

SHIPPING We made it! This is the final step, where masks are picked from inventory, boxed up, and shipped out to retail locations around the world.

CLASSIC

No bulk, breathable, wicking, and more! Our Classic fabric has been a staple of our line for half a decade.

DWR

Water Repellent and Freeze Resistant, DWR Phabric is a significant step up over all other fabrics.

FLAT BACK MESH

This mesh lining provides moisture wicking properties while helping maintain a comfortable climate.

FLEECE

The definition of warm, Thermo Fleece lines our Thermal models and keeps you toasty on the hill.

Our polyester/spandex blended fabric provides UPF 50+ sun protection and blocks 99.9% of harmful UV Rays

People sweat. Our fabric wicks moisture away from your skin to keep you warm when its cold, and releases heat to cool you down when its warm.

We don’t cut holes in our products because we’ve sourced a fabric that breathes! No one likes wind tunnels directing freezing air at exposed skin.

L PH Phunkshun Wear® products have an odor-control tech application added that greatly reduces your mask from smelling.

Our specifically made Thermo Phleece will keep you fuzzy, cozy and warm on the coldest of days. Paired with our DWR fabric, you’ll be kept dry as well.

Many Phunkshun Wear® products are OSFM and stretch to fit many different cranium shapes and sizes.

How warm is your product? Our warmth rating will tell you! Blue for cold, red for hot! Know which products to wear.

On each mask, hood or base layer you’ll see this indicator telling you just how many recycled water bottles are used to manufacture your product.

Freeze not! The water repellent technology we use is extremely durable and long lasting, it also makes the masks freeze resistant.

We’ve listened to your feedback and adjusted the fit of our child masks to fit a wider age-range. Now known as our Youth Collection, these masks are more versatile and recommended for children ages 3 to 12. Youth-centric designs paired with all the great features that our adult-sized masks have.

YOUTH SINGLE TUBE Kids seem to fall into one of two temperature extremes - Hot or Cold.

The Youth Single Tube falls into the latter, providing protection from elements but not causing them to overheat. Easily stretchable to tuck under a helmet or beanie, easy to breathe through, and packed with performance tech features.

TALL TUBE THE Perfect mask for those hot days on the hill. A mesh-inspired Phabric construction allows ultimate breathability that won’t cause your sunglasses to fog and will keep you cool when the sun is shining down. In addition to being more breathable, this model is cut and sewn taller, allowing you to tuck under a ballcap or beanie.

LEILANI RAASHIDA HENRY Leilani Raashida Henry discovered the power of the kaleidoscope images in 2007.

Through scientific research, she learned that the images create coherence in the human nervous system. Her intent, as a graphic artist and wellness practitioner, is to enliven the human spirit.

Originally from the rolling hills of Pennsylvania, Rachel Bock now resides in Denver, Colorado and has completely immersed herself into design and winter culture. She graduated from Drexel University in Philadelphia with a BSA in Graphic design, and is now pursuing her MS in Marketing from CU Denver. Her hobbies include skiing, biking and baking.
