One of Phuket’s most distinguished social events recently saw local members of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs and sundry gourmet enthusiasts gather July 25th at one of the island’s most iconic restaurants

Patong’s 9th Floor The Chaîne des Rôtisseurs is the oldest and most prestigious international gastronomic society, dedicated to promoting the finest dining, imbibing and camaraderie centered on the pleasures of the table. There are members in more than one hundred countries in all parts of the world, but this particular gourmet supper had the added attraction that the food and wines were served by the 9th Floor’s lovely coterie of waitresses in their gorgeous full-length evening gowns. The evening was led by Peter Smith, current local chapter Chair of the society, and most ably organized by the 9th Floor’s Swiss-born Manager Thomas Brack and Executive Chef Wara Pakdeevirote, who explained and presented each of the evening’s superb dishes.
