It’s a cool morning in Olathe as 1,200 people come together to stand up for mental health awareness and 800 of them line up to start the annual Speak-Up Walk. The mission of the walk is to reduce the stigma around mental health and decrease the rate of suicide and depression.

Struggling with mental health is nothing to be afraid of, we all have it. It’s how we feel and think on a daily basis. Not only does it affect our feelings, it affects how we handle everyday situations. The smallest thing can start the slightest doubt in our heads either we aren’t good enough or we can’t do anything right.
