THE HISTORY The Doric 1937-2000 - On 1st March 1937 The Doric Cinema was opened. It closed its doors in 1964 and remained closed for 15 years until the late 70s when the building was transformed into a top class entertainment venue, known as The Newmarket Cabaret Club, hosting some of the UK’s most popular entertainers. Many years later, while trends changed again in the world of entertainment, the venue became known as Pacino’s Wine Bar & De Niro’s Nightclub, one of the most popular nightlife venues in East Anglia.
