through Asia and Europe, culminating in a move to Australia. She managed to see Sara Duvisac in Kerala, India, while visiting there. Nick Ksiazek also traveled the world this past fall. After finishing his latest stint with the Marines, he took some time off to vacation and travel before starting business school at the University of Virginia. Nick’s former Will Hall neighbor Phil Caruso wrote from NYC, where he and Kaitlin Ainsworth Caruso have landed. After finishing joint degrees in law and business at the University of Chicago, Phil has returned to A.T. Kearney. I heard from several other classmates in NYC as well: Stephen Fee, who is a publisher and correspondent for PBS; Andy Hattemer, who started a new job in growth at DigitalOcean; and Emily O’Brien, who visited Tara Gadgil and Matt Lindsay in San Francisco this fall. Chana Sacks reported back from Boston, where she is now chief resident in medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital. Chana has run into Alessandra Colaianni a number of times at MGH, where Alessandra is completing her surgical internship. Dan Koh also wrote from Boston, where he and Shaun Blugh both work in the mayor’s office and keep up with each other. Lucy Keating lives in Los Angeles. Her young-adult novel, Dreamology, was published in April. Lucy has stayed close with longtime pals Alex Jamali, now living in the Bay Area, and Justine Wardrop and Sarah Carden Cookfair, both now living in New York. Evan McGarvey wrote from Austin, Texas, where he and his wife, Allegra Asplundh-Smith ’04, now live. Head of School John Palfrey visited San Francisco last fall. There was an awesome turnout from our class, including Katie Dlesk, Janis Scanlon Rice, Jeanne St. Peter, Matt Lindsay, Michael Ruderman, Tom Oliphant, Alex Minasian, Alexa Franchot, Jina Corneau,
When Cotton Harrold ’04 got married in Jamaica in May, alums from several classes turned out. and Phoebe Rockwood. I spent New Year’s Eve in Northern California with a number of friends, including Tara Gadgil. Tara moved to San Francisco last summer after spending the past few years in Boston. On New Year’s Eve, I also caught up with Greysen Carlson, who called from New York, where he has been working on a political campaign. I’ve also managed to keep up with a couple of other classmates in the area, including Dave Beyer, Tom Dimopoulos, and Nick Franchot. That’s it for 2015. Please continue to send your news for 2016.

I’m typing up this batch of notes on the last day of 2015, and it’s been a very merry year for the Class of 2004. Cotton Harrold got married, and 10 Andover alumni, representing six classes, were in attendance, including best man Seth Stulgis. Taylor Yates expected to become a father in March 2016. Alex Thorn proposed to Hannah Norton, and Laurie Ignacio got engaged to Laura Kaneko and will wed in Los Angeles this summer. Both Alex and Laurie celebrated with trips alongside former Andover classmates. Alex and Hannah went skiing with Seth Stulgis and his fiancée. Laurie and Laura enjoyed a trip to Oaxaca, Mexico, with Shauni Deshmukh and her husband, Goss Nuzzo-Jones. After the vacation, Shauni returned to her exciting new job working for the U.S. Digital Service, which helps improve
technology in government. And congratulations to our class for going from lowest to highest participation in the A-E alumni giving challenge, which Whitney Kelly Wilkinson proudly brought to my attention. Whitney has an Exeter student in one of her classes and has, she says, “already informed him we cannot be friends.” Given Whitney’s friendly disposition, I’m sure even her so-called enemies enjoy her company. Amy O’Gorman Block moved to Wisconsin with her husband and their son. Amy would love to see anyone in the area. When she’s not parenting or enjoying the fine beers and cheeses of Wisconsin, Amy enjoys volunteering and crafting. Alanna Hughes finished school this spring after spending the holidays in Massachusetts with family and traveling to Brazil for vacation and to Uruguay for an MBA project. Kinnon McCall Foley lives in Charlestown, Mass., with her husband, Oliver, and works for the Lawrence Public Schools, where she occasionally collaborates with PA students and staff. Aaron L’Heureux is leaving his job at Amazon to “work in the land of cat .gifs, Imgur.” He recommends traveling to Cambodia, where he recently enjoyed a vacation. Jacqueline Bovaird saw Hilary Papantonio and Ellen Knuti in New York and McKee Floyd when McKee last visited Los Angeles. Ashley Whitehead Luskey finished up a busy first semester teaching public history at West Virginia University and growing her historical consulting business. She also served as both a contributor and guest editor for a special blog series on the Confederate flag controversy and monument debate run by the National Council on Public History. In addition to writing many articles, she is working on a book. Emily Weston is a proud mom—to a big, bouncing 63-foot sailing catamaran. She owns a charter boat company (Lyric Sails) that does sunset sails with live Andover | Summer 2016
