1990, Obninsky coached Little League and Babe Ruth baseball for 11 years and was a former Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader. He also was a faithful member of the Russian Orthodox Church, the Russian Nobility Association in America, and the Association of Former Russian Naval Officers in San Francisco. “Vic was a constant in our universe,” recalled Bill Chickering ’62. “Unchanging, unchanged by being dealt some bad cards, playing them with spirit and humor. A very sweet guy, from start to finish.” “His unfailing energy and passion to hold our class together has been extraordinary,” said Tony King ’62. “It worked, and we will miss him greatly.”

THE PA COMMUNITY MOURNS Jennie Cline—A former colleague and friend to many in the PA community, Jennie Cline died February 8, 2016, at her home in Southwest Harbor, Maine. Presented with a diagnosis of cancer three years ago, Jennie responded with uncommon grace, courage, and vitality as she continued to live a rich, active life focused on family, friends, and community. A professional graphic designer and computer specialist, Jennie was also a talented artist. She generously shared her talents, time, and creativity with the Andover community during her more than 20 years on campus. She is survived by her husband, Faculty Emeritus Andy Cline; children Heidi Wall ’94 and Kevin Cline ’97; and four grandchildren. A memorial celebration is planned for June 25 in Southwest Harbor.
