Steven J. Sun ’75 Scholarship Fund
Established in 2016 by Ronald and Eunei Lee, P’17, ’19, to support financial aid scholarships for deserving students.
Established in 2016 in memory of Steven J. Sun ’75 by his family and friends, with lead gifts from his sister Lucy Sun and her husband, Warren Felson, and from his sister Virginia Sun Yee and her husband, Wellington Yee. This fund shall support financial aid scholarships for deserving students.
Ly Family Scholarship Established in 2016 with a gift from Z Yu ’90 and Eric Ly to support financial aid scholarships for deserving students. Meiqiu Zhang Learning in the World Student Experience Fund Established in 2016 with a gift from Z Yu ’90 and Eric Ly to support the Tang Institute, specifically for student travel through the Learning in the World program. Peihuan Qian Learning in the World Student Experience Fund Established in 2016 with a gift from Z Yu ’90 and Eric Ly to support the Tang Institute, specifically for student travel through the Learning in the World program. Frank M. Magee Jr. Fund Established in 2015 with a distribution from the bequest of the late Frank M. Magee ’44. The fund shall support the general operations and purposes of the Academy. Othmer Family Scholarship Fund Established in 2016 by David Artman Othmer ’59 and Maureen Barden in memory of David’s parents, Murray and Mary Othmer, to provide scholarship aid to deserving students, including Summer Session students who are citizens and residents of Latin American countries. Henry “Hank” Riggs Fund Established in 2015 with a distribution from the deferred compensation plan of the late Henry “Hank” Riggs ’53. The fund shall be used to support innovations in teaching. Charles E. Rounds ’37 Memorial Fund Established in 2016 with a distribution from the trust of the late Frank E. Rounds Jr. ’34, in memory of his brother Charles E. Rounds ’37. The fund shall be used to purchase and maintain books for the Oliver Wendell Holmes Library. Timothy E. Rounds Memorial Fund Established in 2016 with a distribution from the trust of the late Frank E. Rounds Jr. ’34, in memory of his son Timothy E. Rounds. The fund shall be used to purchase and maintain books for the Oliver Wendell Holmes Library.
Tang Institute Director’s Discretionary Fund Established in 2016 with a gift from Chien Lee ’71. The Academy shall use the fund for purposes determined by the director of the Tang Institute, with a preference for expenses that are unique in nature, rather than those that are annually occurring. TMCJ Company Endowment Fund Established anonymously in 2016 to support Phillips Academy through unrestricted endowment. Voorhees Family (MS)2 Scholarship Established in 2016 with a gift from Steven ’72 and Celia Voorhees, parents of Dorothy ’04 and Paul ’06 in honor of physics instructor Clyfe Beckwith, P’15, ’17. The gift will support financial aid scholarships for deserving students in the (MS)2 program. John Wright Watling Jr. Fund Established in 2016 with a terminated annuity from the late John Wright Watling Jr. ’26. The fund shall be used to support the general operations and purposes of the Academy. Zhang Xin and Pan Shiyi Fund for Learning in the World Established in 2016 by Zhang Xin and Pan Shiyi, P’17, ’19. The fund shall be used to support financial aid for the Learning in the World program within the Tang Institute. Xiong Fund for Connected Learning Established in 2016 by Ming Hua Xiong and Rong Hu, P’16, to support Connected Learning within the Tang Institute.
