5 University Campus UTEC Lima.
A Friendly Reminder Of Home While Travelling.
In the summer of 2022, I travelled to South America for 5 weeks to explore and see a part of the world rich in culture, history and new experiences. Along this journey I met wonderful people, tasted incredible foods and saw breathtaking places.

On my route, I stopped in Lima for a few days and made a point to go and see the new University Campus UTEC building. It was always on my architecture bucket list, but I never thought I would make it to that part of the world to see it. Once there, I couldn’t get access to the inside of the building however, I could at least walk around and enjoy the architecture from the exterior.
I was struck by how the campus building was simultaneously so large but so open. The voids of the structure were as crucial to the reading of the building as the solid. While the scale of the building felt large from a distance, once up close it dissipated due to the clever form. The visit did not disappoint, even with the inability to get inside.
