Justin Thompson is the proprietor chef of the Justin Thompson Restaurant & Catering Group, owner of Farrell Bread & Bakery, and author of Trial & Error: Recipes and Lessons Learned by a Chef & Restaurateur. His restaurant group, founded in 2011, includes Juniper Restaurant, PRHYME: Downtown Steakhouse, and Justin Thompson Catering. Additional ventures include Freya: Nordic Kitchen, Isla’s Kitchen, and Connor’s Corner Store. Thompson collaborated with Evan and Valerie Wei-Haas on his cookbook Trial & Error in 2018 and acquired Farrell Bread & Bakery the same year. Before this, he operated several local Tulsa favorites. Thompson has earned acclaim as Tulsa’s best chef from multiple publications and has received awards from the Chaine des Rotisseurs. He’s been featured in Saveur Magazine and served as a guest chef at the James Beard House. Active in charity work, Thompson has contributed to over a hundred charities in Tulsa since 2011, including the United Way and the Alzheimer’s Association. RON HIPPE 2024 PHILBROOK WINE EXPERIENCE AUCTIONEER

For over 30 years, Ron Hippe has been a professional actor, musician, improviser, and emcee. As an auctioneer with Northup Fundraising, he helps raise millions of dollars across the country each year. When not auctioneering, Ron can be found performing comedy improvisation with Seattle’s TheatreSports (Unexpected Productions). He has worked with improv companies around the globe, including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Orlando, Atlanta, Vancouver, New York, London, and Austria. Ron has appeared in productions with the Intiman, ACT, and Seattle Rep theatres, and he appeared on Broadway in the Pulitzer Prize-winning play The Kentucky Cycle. Ron is a veteran commercial and voice over actor for radio, television, and video games. In addition, Ron is a musician and singer-songwriter and leads his band, Gumshen. He is proud to call Seattle home with his wife Michelle and high school-aged sons.

Host an evening of elegance and refinement with a five-course dinner in the Philtower Penthouse.

Enjoy a private 5-course dinner prepared by Chef Bill Lyle of The Summit, seamlessly paired with wines by St. Innocent Winery founder and winemaker Mark Vlosak. Lauded as a Wine Personality of the Year twice by the Wine Advocate, a ¡Salud! Legacy Winemaker, and inducted into the Oregon Wine Walk of Fame in 2014, Mark has produced more than 200 90+ point wines.

Prior to the dinner, guests will enjoy a behind-the-scenes tunnel and building tour with Philbrook curator Susan Green and Tulsa historian Ken Busby. Both the Philtower Building and Philbrook Museum were commissioned by oil magnate and philanthropist Waite Phillips and designed by renowned architect Edward Buehler Delk. While Philbrook Museum originally served as Phillips’ home and was completed in 1927, the Philtower Building housed Phillips’ office and was completed roughly a decade later in 1938, the same year Phillips gifted his home to Tulsa. Just one year later, Philbrook Museum was born!

15,000 K-12 students visit the Museum annually through the Docent Tour Program. Knowledgeable and trained docents engage school groups with exhibitions and all school bus expenses are reimbursed by Philbrook.

Philbrook engages every thirdgrader in Tulsa Public Schools in art experiences each year through the Any Given Child program.

Kids increase their confidence in sharing ideas, spark their ability to playfully experiment, and refine their empathy skills.

Delve deep into the world of DAOU and PATRIMONY with a tour and barrel tasting of DAOU’s most coveted wines with Erik Johnson, formerly the Wine Director at the French Laundry. These Conditions of Purchase, as amended by any addendum or oral announcements during the auction, constitute the entire terms and conditions with respect to the auction and purchase of wines and items listed herein. By bidding, bidders agree to be bound by these Conditions of Purchase.

All property is sold “as is” and Philbrook does not make any representations or warranties of any kind or nature, expressed or implied of any item. No statement in the auction catalog or made at the sale, or elsewhere, shall be deemed such a representation, warrant or any assumption of liability.

Limitations on Special Events: Scheduling of all trips, dinners, accommodations and/or special events (“Special Events”) are subject to availability and mutual convenience of Philbrook, the donor, Special Event venue operator, and the bidder. Limitations, restrictions and conditions on Special Events are beyond the control of Philbrook. The catalogue description of Special Events provides all of the conditions of the Special Event provided by the donor(s) of the Special Event to Philbrook. However, there may be other conditions, restrictions or limitations on the Special Events set by the donor of which Philbrook is not aware and for which Philbrook cannot be responsible. If the bidder does not use the Special Event in the manner and time specified, the Special Event is automatically forfeited and no refund will be made.

CONDITIONS OF PURCHASE

Bidding Procedure: A bid is entered by raising your numbered bid card and being acknowledged by the auctioneer. Absentee bidders will be represented by a proxy who will bid on their behalf. Bids once made may not be withdrawn.

The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the purchaser. In the event of any dispute between bidders, the auctioneer shall have sole and final discretion either to determine the successful bidder or to re-offer and resell the article in dispute. If any dispute arises after the sale, Philbrook sale records shall be conclusive in all respects. Video recording of the auction will constitute the final record of the sale of all auction lots.

Federal Income Tax Information: For federal income tax purposes, Philbrook is recognized as a tax-exempt organization under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c) (3). Bidders may be entitled to deduct a portion of their payments for auction lots as a charitable contribution to the extent that the amount paid for an item exceeds its fair market value. Philbrook makes no representation with regards to the fair market value of any item. Each bidder should consult his or her tax advisor regarding the deductibility of payments for state and federal income tax purposes.

Payment: Winning bidders will have 14 calendar days after the auction to confirm their preferred payment method. All auction items must be paid by December 31, 2024 unless otherwise agreed upon by the winning bidder and Philbrook. All sales are final. There are no refunds. A 3% processing fee will be applied to payments made by credit card.

Pick-up, Delivery, and Use of Trips, Dinners, Accommodations and/or

Special Events: All items must be paid for in full prior to lot release or use of trips, dinners, accommodations and/or special events. After payment has been made, lots may be picked up at Philbrook or delivered to the winning bidder.
