The Medium Green Pony Hunters kicked off with top honors in the Model going to Highland Farm, LLC's Bit A Whiskey and Kaitlyn Linck. Qualen's Charismagic, a Carolex Stables, LLC entry, and Emi Richard took home the blue in the Under Saddle.
Kaitlyn Linck, on the win today, Bit A Whiskey "Ripp," and what it is like to win at Pony Finals: "I have shown him only a few times before Pony Finals. My favorite thing about him is he rides a lot like a horse - his trot feels like you are riding a horse. He is just so sweet in the barn and loves the attention. I felt that today went absolutely incredible. In the model he definitely stood the best he ever has. I have been coming here for the past six years, but I have never won a division class. It was extremely exciting to win a class at Pony Finals this year, I am definitely on Cloud 9. I like coming to Pony Finals because there are always so many amazing ponies and kids that ride really well which makes it super competitive."

Riding out of Middlefield, CT, Emi Richard piloted Carolex Stables, LLC's Qualen's Charismagic to the win in the Medium Green Under Saddle. Speaking highly of the 9-year-old mare, trainer Liz Redding reflected on the win, the partnership, and the teamworktoget"Carrie"toPonyFinals:
"Carrie is the sweetest pony. She’s the girl who doesn’t realize how beautiful or talented she is. She lovestrailrides&isverycasualaboutmostthingsin life," Redding said, "Emi is very similar to Carrie. Theyarebothsuperchillandtheybothknowhowto really put it all together when the time is right. At their first show in the Green Classic, they scored a 90. Emi helped us to put in the work long before then. We spent many days in the USHJA perfecting our skills and making sure Carrie was ready to step intotheGreens.I’mthankfultoherfamilyatCarolex fortrustingthatshewasreadyandthatEmiwasthe rightriderforher."
Regarding their plans for the rest of the year, " I’d say we have hopes that in only a handful of shows she could maybe get into Indoors, a top finish at Pony Finals, which she did already with her Under Saddle win, Devon 2024, adding more 90’s to her already impressive collection, and just continuing to be the rock that we can always rely on. She is a fantastic and patient teacher and superstar all in one…..whethershewinsornot,shewillalwaysmake her rider happy and keep them safe. She truly is special."
