A MESSAGE FROM THE County Executive

Seniors are the bedrock of our community, and I am blessed to be able to serve and support you for another four years as your County Executive. As we begin the next chapter of our administration and move forward together, I am proud to present the 2023 Senior Resource Guide. This resource guide is a partnership between the Department of Family Services, Aging and Disabilities Services Division and the Prince George’s Senior Provider Network (PGSPN) in an effort to help seniors, caregivers, and families identify services and resources that will benefit them when they need assistance.

Our County’s senior population continues to grow at a steady pace. According to the American Community Survey Census Data, adults 60 years and over comprise 21.5% of the County’s total population. That’s why it is important that our residents, including older adults and caregivers, receive information when they need it most.

The resources in this guide include a listing of services that are essential to the well-being of older adults and family caregivers. The partnership with the PGSPN has allowed the County to highlight programs specifically designed for older adults. In addition, this guide includes a listing of businesses who are all members of the PGSPN and provide services for older adults and family caregivers in the community.

Please keep this Senior Resource Guide in a convenient place and share it with your family and friends. We encourage you to refer to it whenever you need assistance. If you need additional information, please call the Aging and Disabilities Resource Center, which serves as your one-stop shop for information, resources, and assistance, at 301-265-8450.

As many of you already know, seniors are very important to me and are the foundation of our County and nation. This resource guide is a way that we can demonstrate our commitment to help you gain access to the services and programs that will allow you to age in place. Please know that your County government is always here for you, and we are honored to continuing serving you and your families.

Sincerely,
