For The ASD Community Transition Center

For my Masters Thesis I focused on designing a solution by providing a facility that would ease the transition into adulthood for ASD individuals. With government paid assistance programs that end after high school, the ASD community is mostly left in the dark to decide the future of their careers.

Located in Northeast Philadelphia, the project is laid out as a campus with each building containing specific “zones”. Zones towards the back end of the building are used for focus areas and learning, while central zones are used for general circulation. Outer zones facing the courtyard are used as a place to retreat, relax, and socialize. With this same program organization seen throughout the campus, individuals can easily identify where they need or want to be at any given time.
