All around the world kids play with Chinese toys. My mom and I love watching Turkish series. I don't listen to English songs. We have an Italian restaurant. In the shops they have French food. We have Serbian friends. Russian babushkas are sold in the shops. I would never try Japanese food. I would like to travel to a Montenegrin beach. I was in the Bosnian pyramids.

The games were very popular. Soon there were more events, like wrestling and horse races. All the athletes in ancient Olympics were men, and when they competed, they worenoclothes.Ifwecome back to our modern Olympics, they are the world's most famous sports competition. The modern Olympics take place every four years in a different city. Slovenia is one of the smallest countries to compete in the Olympics. I don't really watch the Olympics on TV, they’re not really my piece of pie if I can say that.

I like sports, that’s why I watched the Olympic games in Beijing on TV. I really like ice-skating, Curling and Ski jumps. I watch the Olympics with my family. Me and my father watch ice-skating almost every day, if it's on TV of course. I really enjoy Curling as well because my mother and father play and teach it in ice hall in Zalog. We like Ski jumping the most because our athletes are really good this year, they’ve already won three medals, two gold and one bronze. I really want them to get some more.

MY FAVOURITE SPORT IS SKATEBOARDING. THE FIRST SKATEBOARD WAS MADE IN 1950 IN CALIFORNIA. SOME SURFERS HAD THE IDEA TO TRANSFER A SURFBOARD INTO A SKATEBOARD. THEY DID IT BECAUSE THEY WANTED TO SURF WHEN THERE WHERE NO WAVES. THESE DUDES WERE CALLED ASPHALT SURFERS. THEY USED SURFBOARDS AND WHEELS MADE OUT OF METAL. IN 1970S SKATEBOARDING REACHED EUROPEAND BECAMEA VERY POPULAR SPORT. IN THE BEGINNINGTHEYWERESKATINGIN EMPTY POOLS AND DRY RIVER DITCHES. SOON THEY STARTED TO IMITATE THE FIELD AND MADE THE FIRST RAMPS AND SKATEPARKS. NOW THIS SPORT IS ALSO A DISCIPLINE IN THE OLYMPIC GAMES.

I STARTED SKATEBOARDING AT THE AGE OF9.ILIKESKATEBOARDINGBECAUSEIT IS FUN AND EXCITING. IN THE SKATEPARK I MEET A LOT OF FRIENDS AND WE ALWAYS SUPORT EACH OTHER. MY FAVOURITE TRICKS THAT I LEARNED ARE KICKFLIP, BIGSPIN AND PRIMO VARIAL KICKFLIP. I SKATE IN THE URBAN ROOF AND TIVOLI PARK. MY FAVOURITE SKATEPARK IS IN KOPER. MY DREAM IS THAT SOME DAY I WILL HAVE MY OWN SKATEPARK.

THE FRONT PART OF THE DECK IS CALLED THE NOSE. THE WHEELS ARE MADE OF POLYURETHANE PLASTIC. SKATEBOARDING IS AN EXTREME SPORT, THAT INVOLVES RIDING AND PERFORMING TRICKS. THERE ARE DIFFERENT TYPES OF TRICKS: FREESTYLE, STREET, PARK AND RAMP TRICKS. THE MOST KNOWN MOVES ARE: KICKTURN, OLIE AND GRIND.

Despite other things, I often remember my dreams, sometimes I write them down to turn them into a drawings or paintings. For example, last night I was dreaming about living on some sandy planet. I was some special astronaut, who was sent to this planet all alone to make some researches. I was very excited, but when I came there, I knew something was very wrong, I had that feeling of being watched. I was definitely not alone. I decided to find out who lived there, and found a family of giant underground worms. I almost got eaten, but luckily escaped. But when I was trying to escape the planet with my rocket, it broke down and was destroyed. Later, I built some kind of a space-house with the remains of the spaceship. After being done, I fell asleep and then woke up in real life. The experience was terrifying and exciting at the same time.

I had a weird dream once. I was walking in the city and I was in a lift to space at the same time. Things were on fire and meteors were flying from the sky. In the lift there was only me and one scientist or something. That's what I remember.

I had a really weird dream when I was young. In my dream I was really bored so I went in a toilet. Not on a toilet, in a toilet. I was inside the toilet for some time then I started felling cold. So, I went out of the toilet to get a blanket. Then I went in the toilet again but this time with a blanket. After a while I felt really bored. So, I tried to go out of the toilet. But the toilet was locked.

I had a really weird dream last night. I was walking down the hall when I suddenly came to a beach in the Caribbean. It was really hot and people were dancing and singing. But when I went to the sea, I landed on a dark street where there was no one. I was scared and lonely. And then I heard a strange noise from some building across the street. It was like a baby crying so I went into the building and I saw a baby lying in a coffin. It frightened me a lot! Then I heard steps and suddenly I woke up.

I had a really interesting dream last night. It was like every other morning. I got ready for school, brushed my teeth and ate my breakfast. The clock was 8:10 so I was in a hurry. In the bicycle shed I was watching my phone and I was playing games, then I realised that my phone had 0% battery and it shut down. I was so scared because when I checked my phone in the morning it had 100%. I unlocked my bike and rushed to school. But as soon as I left my bicycle shed it was night time. I was very confused so I checked my watch and it was really night time, it was midnight. I thought I was on my phone for 14 hours. I went back in the bicycle shed and locked my bike. When I got upstairs and unlocked my flat, I was expecting my mom angry and screaming at me where I was, but nobody was there, like it was abandoned. I was scared what happened to them. I called my mom and heard phone ringing in the closet as I approached the closet it felt colder and colder. As I was about to open the closet my alarm clock set off and I woke up. I realised that it was all a dream.

They just went there, made some selfies and were on the way back out, when they heard a strange noise, which seemed like a woman screaming. All of his friends ran away, but Liam couldn't leave. Like something was forcing him to take a look of what was happening. His flashlight stopped working, and he was left alone in the dark. Something pushed him to the ground, he hit floor and broke his nose. He felt his blood running down his face and clothes. He started to feel dizzy and soon lost his conscious. He woke up outside the church and went straight home. Later they did some research and found out the church had actually been haunted for centuries, since some witch was killed there. Her ghost is still in a tomb under the altar and that's the reason they heard a woman screaming, but they still couldn't explain what pushed Liam. They decided to never ever go there again.

I’ve never seen a ghost. But my sister has. She said that it happened when she came home from school. She was standing in the yard when she looked out of our dead grandmother’s balcony. She saw her reflection in the window. She was traumatized.

It was a clear day the sun was shining. We went to the Ljubljana castle. When we came in the place was lively the people were laughing and talking. All of a sudden, a storm appeared in the sky, a second later it started to rain heavily and everyone went inside. Me and some other tourists went in the castle cellar. As soon as we got inside the door slammed behind us. We all jumped in fear. When we tried to open the door, the door was locked. We decided to go and search for the exit. The halls were very bright, but the feeling was not warm it was dead cold. As we were approaching the basement the electricity shut down. We were trapped in the castle basement with no signal or electricity. A tourist brought a flash light. As we were going deeper we started to hear child’s screaming. Every step we took the child’s screaming got louder and louder. When we got to the end of the hallway there was a body lying on the ground and there was a figure standing next to it. When the figure saw us, he immediately disappeared in to the darkness. When we looked back at the place where the body was lying, there was only a dirty curtain. The second later the police came down with a guide. We told everything to the police. We went back down where we saw the body and told the police about a figure standing next to the body and how it ran to the hallway next to it. The police did not find anything, so the case was dismissed.

The Floating Mill

The floating mill on the Mura river was built in the 4th century. It harnesses the natural energy of water for the farmers. It doesn’t work anymore but it still stands after so many years. One day I was hiking with a friend and we came across it. We decided to take a break there when it suddenly started working. I was scared but amazed of what was happening. Later that day when we got home I googled the mill and it said it might be working at specific periods of time, but not on its own. Although in some cases it might start working on its own, which is the reason why some people say it might be haunted.

It was a black house. In that house my grandfather died because someone shot him. I went there because I was curious if he left anything useful there. When I got in the house, I was looking around for things. I found a closed door. I opened it. I saw my grandfather. But he was a ghost. He disappeared in two seconds. I was scared then. It was a rainy night and Nika was going to the shop when she saw a light in the house, that is opposite her house. This house was empty and nobody lived in it. It was really strange. So, she went to the house and looked inside the window. It was dark again.Thenshe walked insidethe house and while she was walking down the hall, she heard something from the first floor. It scared her because she didn't even have a flashlight. She was confident, so she went into the living room. While she was looking around, she saw a ghost next to the sofa and she screamed and ran out of the house. Later she found out that an old man had lived there for thirty years and when he died, this house was very horrifying, so nobody wanted to live here. In this house there was the ghost of this man.

There was a castle in the middle of the forest. The castle was huge and there was mist all around it. I once decided to go in the castle. It was really dark so I had to use my flashlight in order to see. I was exploring the castle for some time until I saw a ghost. When I saw it, I went back home.

One night, I was exploring an abandoned hospital on Crow street. I was just about to leave, because it was past midnight. I turned around and saw a ghost. It was an old man with a beard to his toes. He had red eyes and was bald. He was a patient. He was wearing a hospital gown. I ran out of the hospital and onto my bike. I rode home and never told anyone about what had happened. I never saw the ghost again. It was strange.

One night I was sleeping in my bed when I suddenly heard something in our garden. I went to see what it was and when I came out it was very dark and it was foggy. When I looked around I saw something big and white. It looked like half cat, half man. I wanted to go inside when this thing ran towards me and scratched me. When I woke up the next morning, I thought I was dreaming but when I looked at my hand, I saw a big scratch there.

It was an old failed science experiment. It was 8 feet tall.

It was ten minutes to midnight. I was in front of some sort of a castle. But it was too small for a castle. It was more like a house-castle. I wanted to walk away but there was my neighbour. He was sleepwalking and I didn't like him very much. So, instead, I walked into the scary house-castle. When I opened the very big door, I saw even bigger stairs that led to the even bigger door. The house-castle was bigger from the inside than the outside. I hoped there were no more bigger things. I went up the stairs. I tried to open the even bigger door, but it was too heavy. I pushed even harder, but I couldn’t open it. I looked at the door. There were some things on it. Some artefacts and letters… and a word. It said: “Pull.” I was thinking for a minute, but then I realized I needed to pull the door, not push it. I opened the door. There was a dark shadow at the end of the dark room. It was slowly coming towards me. I ran out of the dark room. On the stairs, I just slid down the banisters to the bottom. I ran out through the front door of the house-castle, past my sleepwalking neighbour and never returned to the house-castle again.

After that, I had a lot of questions. Who was the shadow? How did I get there? Why was my neighbour there? I will never know. (And by the way – the house-castle was actually a mansion.)

Eva Pavlović Mori is an amazing volleyball player. She's the captain of the Slovenia women's national volleyball team. She was born on 13th March 1996. She's 1.86 m tall. She has played for different clubs in Europe, including Volley Bergamo. In the next season she’s moving to Turkey, where she’s going to join one of the most successful Turkish volleyball clubs PTT Spor.
