VORWORT / PREAMBLE Die Seifenkiste "Orscheler Plattform" ist gedacht als Basis für eine Seifenkiste mit unendlichen Erweiterungsmöglichkeiten. In und an der Basisplatte die in Sandwich Bauform ausgebildet ist befinden sich sämtliche notwendigen Bauelemente. Lenkung und Bremse werden über Bowdenzüge geführt, wodurch die freie Positionierung der Lenkanlage und des Bremshebels auf der Plattform gegeben ist. Der hier vorliegende Bauplan stellt lediglich eine Variante dar. Je nach Aufbau kann die Lenkung und Bremse entsprechend ausgeführt und angeordnet werden. Alle Bauteile sind im Baumarkt erhältlich. Dort kann auch der Zuschnitt der Platten erfolgen. Doch nun genug der Rede, ab in die Werkstatt und bauen. Viel Spaß und Erfolg wünscht Peter Macho
The Soapbox "Orscheler platform" describes a basis for a soapbox with endless expansion possibilities. The base plate is formed like a sandwich construction with all necessary components. Steering and brakes uses bowden cables, so you can change the positioning of the steering mechanism and the brake lever on the platform. All components are available at the hardware store. Prüfen Sie vor dem Bau der Seifenkiste, ob diese dem Reglement des oder der Rennen entspricht, an denen Sie teilnehmen möchten. Before start with the construction of the soapbox check whether this complies with the rules of the race you want to participate.

Bei den in den Stücklisten angegebenen Materialien handelt es sich um Empfehlungen. Sie können nach eigenem Ermessen andere Materialien verwenden, wenn dies nicht die Stabilität und Sicherheit beeinträchtigt. Falls Sie andere Materialien oder Abmessungen verwenden, muss die Gesamtkonstruktion gegebenenfalls angepasst werden. The materials specified in the parts list are proposals. You can use other materials on your own authority if it does not affect the stability and security. If you use other material or dimension it will be necessary to revise the construction.

Welche Verbindungsart Sie verwenden (Holzleim, Heißkleber, Schrauben oder anderes) liegt in Ihrem Ermessen. Wichtig ist, dass alle Verbindungen stabil sind und bleiben. It´s up to you which type of connection (Wood clue, hot clue or screws) you use. It is important that all connections are stable and constant quality.

Überprüfen Sie während jeder Bauphase die Sitzposition des Fahrers. Check during each construction phase the driver seating position.

HINWEISE ZUM EINKAUF / INFORMATION FOR SHOPPING Anstatt der aufgeführten Tischlerplatten könne auch andere Holzplatten verwendet werden solange sie den Anforderungen gerecht werden. Sollten Holzplatten nicht in den aufgeführten Stärken verfügbar sein, kann das nächst stärkere Material verwendet werden. Eventuell müssen dann Folgemaße verändert werden. Empfohlene Holzschrauben zur Verbindung der Bauteile Ø3,5 in den Längen 25, 35, 50 mm. Zu verschraubende Platten sollten vorgebohrt werden (2 mm), um zu verhindern das das Holz aufplatzt. Schraubendurchmesser und Länge können je nach verwendetem Holz variieren. Instead of the listed coreboards could also other wood panels used as long as they meet the requirements. VOR BEGINN PRÜFEN / CHECK BEFORE START
Nach der Endmontage muss der Abstand zwischen Reifen und Bremse ca. 10 mm betragen. Sollten andere Räder bzw. Reifen mit abweichendem Durchmesser verwendet werden, muss die Position der Bremse entsprechend angepasst werden. After final assembly, the distance between the wheel and the brake pipe must be about 10 mm. FUNKTIONSPRÜFUNG / FUNCTIONAL CHECK 1.
Achten Sie darauf dass wichtige Teile wie Lenkung und Bremsanlage sich leicht bedienen lassen und nicht blockiert werden können. Make sure that important parts such as the steering and brakes are easy to operate and not be blocked.
2.
Bei vollem Lenkeinschlag, dürfen die Räder kein Teil der Karosserie berühren. At full steering angle, the wheels may not touch any part of the body

Achten Sie darauf, dass Schraubverbindungen sich nicht lösen können. Verwenden Sie wenn möglich selbstsichernde Muttern. Make sure all screws from becoming loose. If possible, use self-locking nuts.
4.
Achten Sie darauf das Seilspanner gesichert werden müssen. Verwenden Sie hier am besten Kabelbinder. Make sure the cable tensioner must be secured. Use cable tie.
5.
Achten Sie immer auf die Sicherheit des Fahrers und der Zuschauer. Always pay attention to the safety of the driver and the viewer.
TIPPS UND TRICKS / TIPS AND TRICKS 1.
Hinter dem Fahrer können Zusatzgewichte untergebracht werden die notwendig sind um das zulässige Gesamtgewicht zu erreichen. Sichern Sie diese gegen verrutschen. Behind the driver additional weights can be accommodated which are necessary to achieve the maximum weight. Secure them against slipping

ÜBER DEN AUTOR / ABOUT THE AUTHOR Hi, mein Name ist Peter Macho und ich wurde im April 1959 geboren. Außer drei Jahren in Frankfurt am Main, lebe ich seit meiner Kindheit in Oberursel. Meinen Lebensunterhalt verdiene ich freiberuflich in der CADKonstruktion und IT-Dienstleistung. Seit 2005 beschäftige ich mich nebenbei mit Seifenkisten. In Oberursel, was seit 1904 als Wiege des Seifenkistensports in Deutschland gilt, gehöre ich zu den Veranstaltern des alljährlich stattfindenden Spaßkistenrennens. Mittlerweile habe ich mehrere Seifenkisten gebaut, die dazugehörigen Konstruktionszeichnungen zu Bauanleitungen zusammengefasst und teilweise veröffentlicht. In meinem Blog www.orschelerseifenkistenrennen.de berichte ich regelmäßig über unser Rennen sowie verwandte Themen. Hi, my name is Peter Macho and I was born in 1959. Except for three years in Frankfurt am Main, I've lived my childhood in Oberursel. I earn my living as a freelancer in CAD design and IT services. Since 2005 I am working casually with soapboxes. In Oberursel, which applies in Germany since 1904 as the birthplace of soapbox races, I am one of the organizers of the annual soapbox race. Meanwhile, I have built several soapboxes, summarized the associated design drawings to instruction manuals and partially published.
