Tuesday Following breakfast, we enjoy an excursion to Fleetwood. The Victorian town of Fleetwood, in Wyre, is nestled at the meeting point of the majestic River Wyre and the Irish Sea and with its long stretch of sandy beach. The thriving seaside resort has a busy port and yacht marina and a promenade full of attractions. It is also home to the only original main street tramway in Britain. This evening we enjoy a drive through the world famous Blackpool illuminations. Wednesday Today we enjoy a visit to Bowness-on-Windermere. Situated on the shores of Lake Windermere this dynamic town boasts hundreds of shops, eating and drinking establishments and many fine cultural and historical attractions.

Tuesday Today we enjoy a visit to Samlesbury Hall, Oswaldtwistle Mills and a guided tour of Pendle Witch Country. Our first visit of the day is to Samlesbury Hall, a fabulous halftimbered black and white medieval house built in 1325 as a family home. We continue to Oswaldtwistle Mills, before enjoying a guided tour of Pendle Witch Country. Wednesday Today we include a journey on the East Lancashire Railway and let the steam train take you on an unforgettable journey. We enjoy free time at the award winning Bury Market, before making our way to the Fred Dibnah Heritage Centre, which tells the story of this well-known engineer and steeplejack.
Thursday Enjoy a day visiting The Chocolate House, where we enjoy a chocolate making demonstration. We continue to Gawthorpe Hall, affectionately referred to as the ‘Downton of the North’ and is home to the North West’s largest collection of portraits. Friday We depart after breakfast and return home via Blackburn and its popular market.
