Bid/Proposal Manager or Consultant Volt is looking for a Bid/Proposal Manager or Consultant to support the Group’s sales activity in Europe and across the various markets in which the company operates in providing a variety of staffing services

Overview of the Role Reporting to the Group Sales and Marketing Director (EMEA), and as an integral part of the Group Sales & Marketing team, you will manage all aspects of the organisation’s bid function, for both its staffing and managed service businesses. Your core responsibility will be to manage stakeholder contributors and create compelling content for both tender and pro-active proposals to win new business. With an ability to work to challenging deadlines, you will liaise with internal teams across Europe to source and collate input required for bid opportunities. Input from the business, coupled with your own contributions regarding what solutions and benefits the company should be highlighting, will result in bespoke responses tailored to each client’s specific requirements. At each stage of the process (PQQs, RFIs, RFPs and Presentations), you will ensure that all content produced is aligned to corporate brand guidelines and company standards. You will also be responsible for the continuous improvement of the bid function (feedback and bid activity reporting) and ensuring that it keeps pace with the changing demands of our customers and prospects. Developing and maintaining a high-quality library of bid material will be a key part of streamlining the bidding process and ensuring that the company produces exceptional written submissions and presentations. Responsible for the production of bids and tenders
Facilitate briefing sessions with internal stakeholders
Manage tasks allocated to bid contributors
Maintain bid pipeline activity report
Deliver Management Information (MI) on bid activity as agreed
Maintain bid library within the Qvidian Proposal Automation Tool
Be proactive in the support and development of the bid department
To be innovative and creative, ensuring that innovation is aimed at becoming market leading
Keep up to date and maintain an excellent rating in MS Word, Visio, PowerPoint and a basic rating in Excel
Ability to use (or learn) the Adobe Creative Suite design package
To understand the needs of customers within each proposal and demonstrate an understanding of concepts, value proposition and solution selling
Ultimately be responsible for the look and feel of our hard-copy proposals and the look of our soft copy and web submissions
Interact on a regular basis with colleagues in order to keep up to date with the general business within Volt
