In February 2018, Peter McVerry Trust announced it would expand its Housing First work in Dublin and into counties Kildare and Limerick. The announcement was made at a seminar in Wood Quay Venue in Dublin, which featured presentations by Dr Sam Tsemberis, Founder and Executive Director of Pathways Housing First Institute, USA, Brian Friel, National Director of Services, Peter McVerry Trust and Pat Doyle, CEO of Peter McVerry Trust. The event was also attended by Bob Jordan, the newly appointed National Director of Housing First as well as representatives from a number of local authorities.

AWARD FOR DUBLIN HOUSING FIRST PROJECT The Dublin Region Homeless Executive’s Regional Housing First Service, delivered by Peter McVerry Trust and Focus Ireland, was recognised at the Chartered Institute of Housing Awards in Belfast in February 2018. The project was awarded the top prize in the partnership category.
