Communicate efficiently on Oil Industry themes On-site reporting, linking film and photo ....
A communication project, whether it be external or internal, promotional or informative, usually requires image material to give value and transmit information. This can often be in short supply, of bad quality or ill-adapted. Our objective is to offer you quality material that is produced with an understanding of the industry. SPECIALISED l
l
l
A specialist for the oil industry in image reporting and creation proposes on-site filming worldwide. Further collaboration on the use of the images within a communication project can also be provided. Knowledge of the oil & gas industry, its operations, its codes of practice, and safety conduct, enables a high degree of efficiency and easy integration amongst rig or site personnel. Familiarity and comprehension gives greater facility in construction of story boards, adapted filming, informed interviewing... so as to obtain the most important and useful information.
EXPERIENCED l
l
Wide experience of seismic surveys, offshore and onshore exploration drilling, testing, production, field maintenance, research, manufacturing... Experience of special techniques such as slow motion filming. High speed camera images of an underwater seismic gun shoot
ADVANTAGES l
l l
One-man site visits combining video and photo... or grouped projects in the same geographical zone... can dramatically reduce costs. Dynamic, imaginative and aesthetic images, in video, photo or both. The duplication of similar images on these two media is often useful for diversified media communication and provides more powerful impact for communication campaigns.
Men and Technology Putting information content into the image
A good visual is not just a pretty post card! It should also be about getting your message across... ADDING VALUE l
l
Human resources are the core of a company and their value should be built into images. This requires attention to detail in order to render a work situation understandable and presentable... a task not always easy when operations are underway and no time is to be lost. Technology is also an important asset involving much investment which should be made visible to demonstrate leading-edge competitivity. This can be done for example by presenting research, quality assurance procedures, the equipment... or demonstrating results. Client comment “Peter Livermore knows the constraints of the sector (safety, environment, equipment); he is thus extremely reactive and succeeds better than anybody in giving value to our products... Thanks to his reactivity and imagination he is capable of presenting them in the most aesthetic way.” Thierry Guichard, Marketing Director, Sercel
Safety
Safety is primordial. This applies both to the cameraman and the personnel he is filming: l
l
his personal behaviour, his assimilation of potential dangers, his awareness of safety procedures and warnings... ensuring that the images clearly reflect the regulations in vigour for the working zone: helmets, gloves, safety glasses, special procedures, hot operations, etc.
International Mobility Missions to the farthest flung corners of the earth... Oil provinces are scattered across the globe... and can be situated in the most inhospitable of zones... EXTREMES We move. And our approach is proactive, reactive and persevering - the aim is to get a job done even under difficult conditions. It is also a question of adopting a fail-safe approach as far as possible by doubling-up key equipment. We have already worked in a wide range of environments including: Arctic (Alaska, Siberia) Desert (Saudi Arabia, North Africa) Offshore (Gulf of Mexico, China, Brazil, North Sea, Maracaibo., etc.) Forest (Africa, South America) Mountain (Rockies, Pyrenees, Italy)
MULTI-LINGUAL Language ability is a useful supplement with 6 European languages and a couple of Asian languages, to different degrees of proficiency. Even though English is the major language of the oil industry, communicating with local clients or personnel in their own language breaks down barriers and helps create stronger working relations.
Offshore Survival Course Peter Livermore has completed offshore survival courses in France and Brazil. He is presently holder of a valid offshore survival certificate (May 2006).
Importance of Environment and Culture An approach that brings into perspective Sustainable Development
By opening our eyes to the natural and cultural environments that surround us we enrich ourselves and put ourselves on a path of understanding others. A HIGH-VALUE IMAGE These themes are increasingly important for the corporate image of a company and can also set an atmosphere and reinforce impact. They can also become part of a message, for example by highlighting multinational collaboration, the performance of equipment in special environments, the steps taken to minimise environmental footprints...
Sustainable development is also ... ... future generations, education...
Example of putting environment into the heart of the message (seismic equipment)
ENRICHING When on mission, we appreciate the diversity and beauty around us. We cultivate an eye for detail... the quest for the exceptional... the understanding of the other... and try to capture it onto film.
Ethics... and Value Value in communication through informed content... aesthetic creativity... quality equipment... and an ethical approach Mission Statement "The search for excellence, creativity, originality and human expression in the respect for others, for the natural environment and for the diversity of human societies."
