LEADER PROFILE
DORJEE SHERPA Dorjee is our longest serving leader, having worked with Peregrine since 1979. He has participated on many climbing expeditions in Nepal and he has specialised knowledge of Nepal’s more remote trekking routes, in particular Number, Rolwaling and the remote areas of the Annapurnas. Dorjee is a highly regarded leader who has also trekked in Tibet, Bhutan and India. When not on trek Dorjee returns home to run the Sherpa Village Guest House in the Everest area, with his wife Yongmi. The guest house is our first stop on all treks accessing the Everest area from Lukla airstrip, with Yongmi managing it full-time during the trekking season. ‘Dorjee’s style of leading made us all feel so special – a wonderful trip with a leader to match, thank you Peregrine’ SH, Australia - 2005 the spirit of adventure // 07
