MMR RECOGNIZED FOR EXCEPTIONAL SAFETY PRACTICES BY THE GREATER BATON ROUGE INDUSTRY ALLIANCE

MMR was recognized by The Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance (GBRIA) for its outstanding commitment to safety at the 27th GBRIA Safety Excellence Awards, held on Friday, March 17th in Baton Rouge, La. MMR received the Division III, Second-Place Award in the Specialty Trade Hard Craft category.

“Ensuring the safety of our employees is our highest priority, and we are fully dedicated to maintaining a work environment that is free from any injuries or incidents,” said MMR President/CEO James B. “Pepper” Rutland.

MMR remains dedicated to maintaining exceptional safety practices across all operations. In 2022, MMR recorded an impressive 9.8 million work hours, a Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) of 0.08 and an Experience Modification Rate (EMR) of 0.66. Additionally, all employees have the right to initiate “Stop Work Authority,” which involves a stop, notify, correct, and resume approach for the resolution of a perceived unsafe condition that could result in an undesirable event.
