Primary: Pectoralis major, triceps brachii, anterior deltoid Secondary: Pectoralis minor, rhomboids, levator scapulae

Exercise Notes

The chest dip exercise is an advanced pectoral movement that requires tremendous upper-body strength, especially for larger people. Most people fail to use a full range of motion during this movement and therefore do not receive an upLimal workuul. Keeping lhe furearms perpendicular to the floor while leaning the trunk forward places the tension on the pectorals and spares the elbows. Keep the elbows tucked into the body and don't let them flare outward. Go deep but not so deep that you aggravate the shoulder joints. Use the triceps up top to lock out the elbows.
