Activity Choices for 2018 Dear Parent and Pupil, In our last week of the Summer Term, we are running a day of activities on Monday 23rd July. There are many different types of activity on offer, some school-based and some off-site, some free and others involving a cost. This booklet outlines for you, the activities that we have on offer this year. Read it through carefully and decide on the two activities that you would most like to do. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee that you will be able to join your first choice activity, but you should be able to do one of your choices. Unless specifically stated, most activities are run over the one day. On this day you will report to the teacher in charge of the activity. Once you have been allocated to an activity, further details will follow from the teacher in charge of that activity.
Guidance Notes Read the booklet carefully and select your preferred activities. If you are selecting “off-site” activities it is important that you contact the member of staff organising the trip as soon as possible and book your place. If your selection includes just “on-site” activities, list your choices in order of preference. If you are going on a pre-arranged family holiday, please ensure the school has been informed. Return the separate letter signed by your parent/guardian to your Form Tutor by: Friday 8th June 2018.
Activity No.1 Ice Arena Wales & McDonalds TEACHER IN CHARGE DESCRIPTION

Mme. J Tanner Enjoy a visit to the newly built Ice arena Wales in Cardiff. Even if it’s your first try on the ice or an opportunity to improve your ice-skating skills, it’s great fun. After working up an appetite, you will stop at McDonalds on the way home. Any £18.00

Oakwood
Mrs. L Picton A day out at Oakwood for pupils to go on the rides of their choice! The price does not include Vertigo which pupils have to pay for themselves at Oakwood if they wish to go on the ride. A fun day out! Any £24
Activity No.3 Battlefield Live
TEACHER IN CHARGE DESCRIPTION
Miss K Jones An exciting day of combat in the style of ‘Call of Duty’. Pupils will be given camouflage suits face paint and will take part in a number of group activities/challenges. Laser guns will be used and you will work as a team.

Mme. C Hyndman Enjoy a day out in LEGOLAND Windsor Earn your driving licence, discover the secrets of the ancient temple & help Captain Goodbrick on his quest for the treasure! Don’t forget your swimsuit if you fancy getting soaked at the UK’s largest outdoor water structure. We will end our Legotastic day, with a pizza/pasta meal! Any £35.00
Activity No.6 Clyne Farm

Ms. C. Metcalfe Leaving school at 9am, the day will consist of orienteering, problem solving, bushcraft (fire & den buidling) & ‘Challenge Valley’ - The muddiest assault course in the world! Showers are onsite for after the assault course before we return to school for 3pm. Any £43.00 Includes transport, hot lunch & all activities

TBC An opportunity to watch popular films in the theatre. You may have seen them before but it’s still a great chance to watch your favourite films with your friends at your leisure.

Surfing
Mr. P Owen 1 day fully supervised surfing lessons at Llangennith Beach. All equipment provided and an after surf BBQ/Meal at Eddie’s Café and transport included in the price.

Activity No.9 Coasteering at the Blue Pool TEACHER IN CHARGE DESCRIPTION

Mr. A. J. Tootill Under the care of an expert outdoor pursuits instructor, we will spend the day around the Blue Pool area, near Broughton Bay, Gower. Activities will include coasteering, swimming and jumping into the Blue Pool. Wet suits will be provided if needed. You will need to bring a packed lunch and plenty of water. Mrs. L. Maclean-Quin Enjoy a variety of activities with your friends at school. Marvel films, Minecraft, Video games (including vintage consoles) and board games galore, such as ‘Mousetrap’, ‘Pictionary’ & Monopoly’.

Activity No.12 Musical Theatre/Disney

Mrs. L. Morgan Come along and immerse yourself in the world of musical theatre and Disney films. Sing your heart out to your favourite musical or Disney film. Learn a routine and make up your own performance to a chosen track in a group ready to perform at the end of the day. Break a Leg!
