The name Pentagon (pentagĹ?nos) is a noun from ancient Greek origin meaning “five angledâ€? in our logo the 5 angles symbolize the number 5 which is the Balance of numbers, the human being (head and four limbs), it also symbolizes the five senses. (hearing, seeing, touching, smell and taste).

THE LAYERING SYSTEM The main purpose of Pentagon's layering system, is to overcome all the parameters of rapidly changing weather conditions coupled with fluctuating physical exertion.

The general rule of thumb for the layering system is : Base layer + Mid layer + Insulate layer = Comfort + Shell = Protection Although the above is a widely practised layering system, there is no formula for a perfect tactical clothing setup. However, the one thing that the layering system has to offer is versatility, by adapting your base, mid and outer layers. Shell protects you from the weather elements and also keeps you comfortable throughout ever-changing conditions.

INSULATION LAYER In very cold conditions an insulated, synthetic layer is highly effective as the outer layer. Provides extra loft and warmth, essentially doing what a thick mid-layer does, but multiplied and with a much higher warmth-to-weight ratio.
