Red Wagon Race starting outside the library at 1 pm. Bring your own wagon and helmet, creativity is welcomed! (Race will be down a slight incline.) Throughout the day, visitors will enjoy entertainment with a great list of artists: Spiritwood; Danikka Soukeroff; Christina Amelio; The Burn In’s; Connor James; Supercats; Hillbilly Truckers. Following the festival, after 6 pm, Danikka Sourkeroff will be hosting additional entertainment in the library amphitheatre with the Racket and Chikadee featured. Spring Fling Festival Celebrating it’s 10th Anniversary, the Spring Fling Festival is coming back to downtown Castlegar Saturday, May 2, from 11 am to 6 pm. There will be an array of fun activities for all ages including three on three hockey, community vendors at Kinsmen Park, a classic car show, kids’ games from noon to 3 pm and local music and entertainment throughout the day. The three on three hockey tournament will have three divisions: junior up to nine years; intermediate 10 to 13 years; adult 14+. There will be prize money for winning teams in each division.
