I have always loved painting. As a child I painted on whatever I could lay my hands on. The creative side of life has never been a stranger to me. I have supplemented my natural creative aptitude with instruction by various artists. Of particular significance for me were three years with Henrik Swane from the illustrious family of artists in Odsherred, Denmark. As an artist I enjoy peace and quiet, the magic and the challenge of the interplay between colour and canvas. I paint because I have something in my heart and my soul that I need to purge. Pictures come to life with the help of meditation and colours in a process in which my emotions shape and express on canvas a previously unidentified story. My pictures are therefore often very different in their form of expression and viewers can explore and come up with their own interpretations.
