Sunday 26th June saw the very first display in Great Longstone of Vintage Tractors and Engines. This event was held to raise funds for Bakewell & Eyam Community Transport. There was a fine display of 21 tractors and 2 stationary engines. Most of the
tractors were local and some of the owners took the opportunity to drive the tractors to the event. The oldest tractor on display was a Fordson Model N of 1941 vintage. Other tractors on display included Ford & Fordsons, Fergusons, David Brown, Oliver, Nuffield and

ASHOVER CAR AND BIKE SHOW
Jointly organised by the Rotary Clubs of Chesterfield, Chesterfield Scarsdale, Matlock and Clay Cross we will again be holding this fantastic show of Classic Cars and Bikes on Sunday 24th July at the Ashover Show Ground, Ashover S45 0AB. Gates open 10am till 4pm. The Show has been
running for 6 years and attracts a great entry of cars and bikes from all over the midlands with Auto Jumble and Craft item stands alongside. The kids are welcome with various rides available. So why not make it a family day out? Food and bar stalls are
also available. Said Eric McCarrison, event organiser, “We have everything for a great day, all we need is the weather and every penny taken will go to charities”. Entrance fee for exhibitors’ cars is £5 per car with 2 people (you can enter on the day). General public, £5 per head, under 12’s free.
BECT VINTAGE TRACTOR & ENGINE EVENT
Field Marshall models. Bakewell & Eyam Community Transport volunteers held stalls selling books, cakes and bric-a-brac plus a number of agricultural items were donated for sale. With the sale of raffle tickets the event raised a total of £400.
