Welcome to our 15th Annual Bull Sale. The fall calf run has consistently shown premiums for Charolais cross calves. This summer and fall visiting with many of our bull customers, and notably the new customers who have recently calved their first or second calf crop of Charolais sired calves, they repeatedly talked about the calving ease and vigor to get up and nurse right away even in the trying weather of the past two springs and have those extra pounds that Charolais bulls give them.
We continue to focus on bulls for the commercial cattleman to be profitable. Calving ease with as much performance as possible to go along with it. We have the bulls that will meet your every need. This year we have decided to offer a group of females from the core of our program. We are offering females from sires that have made our bull sales successful. Highlighting females from LT Lanza with some great producing 2 yr olds and heifer calves that are hard to part with and the top 25 bred heifers out of our program. These females are bred and fed to produce, they will just be in great condition to go into winter, calve, rebreed and raise great progeny for many years to come. We do not pamper our cows and run them on some tough ground. Females are culled very hard for productivity, longevity,temperment and sound udders (if we ever have to let a calf nurse because of mother’s udder she is culled). There are too many good ones so we don’t put up with a bad one. Welcome to the 2019 Char-Maine Ranching “Heart of the White Herd” Female Sale and 15th Annual Bull Sale. This truly is a great offering, of not only the quality bulls they have been providing the industry, but also of the females that they are letting go from their herd. Dams of some of the feature bulls are being sold as well as some great cow/heifer calf pairs. Besides these proven producers they are putting in a great set of bred heifers that will be foundation females in programs for years to come. This herd is sound, productive and good uddered. The genetics here are time proven and will fit into any program across the land. The hills in their pastures are not for unsound cattle and over the years, this herd has been culled hard for all profitable traits. On the bull side, the many of you that have been repeat customers have come to expect the high quality offering year after year. There are many Homozygous polled bulls with pedigrees and EPD that will compliment any purebred herd and be a treat for the commercial producers. Estrada was one of the high selling charolais bulls in the spring of 2018. After many phone calls with Brent Saunders and pictures of his mother/grandmother, feet, udders, etc. we decided that we had to have him. Southern Alberta Livestock Exchange Terms & Conditions Terms: The terms of the sale are cash or cheque and all settlements must be made on Sale Day, or 50% Sale Day, balance due upon delivery, with prior arrangement.
