As a sale group we would like to welcome everyone to the 2nd Annual Pure Production Charolais Bull & Female Sale brought to you

by Cockburn Farms Ltd. (Dave Cockburn), Over The Top Cattle Company (Tyler Sutcliffe & Ashley McNevan), Langevin Charolais (Mitchell Langevin & Family), Wagstaff Farms (Brady Wagstaff & Family) and Southview Farm LTD (The Ormiston Family). A big thank you to everyone who supported our 1st sale in 2024 making it a highly successful one, collectively as a group we truly appreciated it. Our group of breeders are dedicated, progressive cattlemen who all have a common goal from our cattle and that’s productivity. Breeding and investing in quality seed stock has always been a focus amongst our group and the cattle on offer are once again proof of that. You can purchase with confidence, knowing we have thoughtfully selected these cattle each from the top end of our breeding programs and they will be ready to go to work in yours. In this year’s selection we have a good range of coming 2 year old, and yearling bulls as well as a proven coming 3 year old.

Each bull will be semen tested and weighed prior to sale day. As you flip through the catalogue you will note a high percentage of the consignments are Full French or French influence genetics accompanied by lots of unique purebred genetic opportunities from top end herd bulls and AI pairings. For both the purebred and commercial producers alike, there are cattle here to enhance your herd and your bottom line. Southview Farms Ltd has brought to the sale a new addition of Semen that will be available for purchase in packages of 10 units. On the female end we have a good set of ready to breed purebred heifers as well as a few bred offerings. All the heifers have been selected based on their overall confirmation and maternal traits to provide you with females who will no doubt have bright futures. TERMS & CONDITIONS TERMS Cattle will sell under the standard terms and conditions as reccomended by the Canadian Charolais Association.The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable sale day unless prior arrangements have been made (all funds in CDN). The right of property shall not pass until after full settlement is made. Hoards Stations Sale Barn reserves the right to re-sell the animal should settlement not be made.

ANNOUNCEMENTS Announcements from the auction block shall take precedence over printed material in the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay attention to any such announcements.

BIDDING Animals will be sold singly or in lots to the highest bidder. Bidding will be carried out in CDN dollars.

AUCTION The auctioneer will settle any disputes as to bids and his decision on such matters will be final. The auctioneer will have the right to refuse bids from anyone who has a previous record of default in payment or who has not made proper credit clearance prior to the sale with Hoards Station Sale Barn.

LOADING OUT & DELIVERY No cattle load out until after the conclusion of the sale. Bulls may remain with the seller until May 1st free of charge. After May 1st $5/day board. Animals left with the seller’s following the sale MUST be insured. Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Sellers will assist in arranging delivery. Should you require insurance for your purchase please let a seller know and they can help you arrange that.

LIABILITIES Although every precaution has been taken to protect the saftey and the comfort of the buyers, the sellers, and sale staff assume no responibility, legal or otherwise, in the event of an accident or loss of property.

Luckenbach showcases exactly the type of cattle we strive for in our herd - quiet, easy doing, and sound made. This bull has excellent feet and legs. A bull that’s backed by sires that were selected from the M&L program for their high gain/docility and females that were renowned for their milking ability/udder quality. He is halter broke and very easy to handle.

Luckenback did attend two shows in early spring while the kids were working with their Jr show heifers, he tagged along (He captured the title of Over All Champion Bull amongst all breeds at the Spring 4ward Jr. Beef Show). Come the end of July he was turned out for clean up with our own group of heifers. He’s the complete herdbull package!

Calving ease and performance in This bull. This Full French bull is a structurally sound, moderately framed calf with a great set of feet and legs under him. He was born unassisted out on pasture last fall, just the way we like it.

His dam is a cow we bought as a heifer from the briggs family that goes back to the patton herd and continues to do her job year after year. She has a good udder, milks well and raises a good calf. The sire of this calf is our full french, homo polled herd sire Gilbert 2G. A full brother to last year’s high selling bull. Bid with confidence.
