CHARACTERISTICS:

The PDI-50121CM is a space saving, fixed channel modulator system. It consists of 12 individual, vertically mounted, fixed frequency modulators and an efficient switching type power supply module mounted in one 3-1/2” high housing. It is designed for 19” rack mounting. Each modulator is SAW filtered and is factory set to the desired channel and proper offset. Precise frequency is maintained with PLL circuitry. Recessed front panel controls are preset, at the factory, for 87.5% depth of modulation, ±25kHz audio deviation, and -15dBc video audio ratio. RF is set at maximum. It offers excellent video performance and high reliability in a 2U rack. Now available with internal stereo so that a separate module is no longer needed!

The PDI-60M is a PLL synthesized, SAW filtered, frequency agile modulator. It offers 138 TV channels at an output of 60dBmV. This exceptional unit is manufactured and tested to the highest standards and complies with all FCC requirements. The PDI-60M covers all cable channels from 2 through 134 (54-860MHz) including A-5 to A-1 and HRC. Channel selection is accomplished with “user friendly” up/down controls on the front panel. The selected channel is then automatically locked into memory to insure correct operation after a power failure. For flexibility in operation the PDI-60M has three IF loops.

COMMENTS/GENERAL APPLICATION: The PDI-121ADD is an ATSC/QAM professional grade micro demodulator designed for cost effective digital-to-analog conversion of an unencrypted 8VSB (Off-Air SD/HD TV signal) or QAM unencrypted (digital CATV) RF signal to baseband NTSC video and left and right stereo audio outputs. All of the 18 ATSC video formats including HD format can be received by the PDI-121ADD and converted to display on non-digital TV sets over analog channels with the use of a modulator.

The model SBS-860-2W is a high performance distribution amplifier designed for use in multi-dwelling units. One of the unique features of this amplifier is that if no AC voltage is available, the unit can be powered by CATV 60-90 volts if present on the cable.

PDI’s dual hybrid power doubling amplifier is housed in a wall mount aluminum case, with large heat sink fins for maximum heat dissipation. The unit is designed to operate up to 860MHz. When fully loaded with 129 forward channels the Starburst Series® SBS-860-2W has a minimum full gain of +33dB. The -20dB test points are conveniently located externally for testing purposes. The RF input has a surge arrestor for added protection. This high performance amplifier is available with an optional return-path 22dB gain amplifier and an optional AGC circuit for present or future requirements. Forward Gain and Slope controls are located beneath the metal cover to maintain maximum RFI integrity.
