Summer Fun! Day Camp Procedures
from 2021 Summer Guide
Drop-off Procedure
Drop-off for Day Camps occurs between 8:45-9:00am. Families must enter through the main entrance on Brunette Avenue (by the Spirit Bear sculpture).
What to Bring:
• Please bring a nut-free lunch, snacks and water bottle each day. • We recommend wearing closed-toed shoes and to dress for mess and movement. • Please do not bring any unnecessary belongings to camp (eg. toys, games, etc.). • On the last day of camp, please bring a box or large bag labelled with your child’s name to bring artwork home in.
Pick-up Procedure
Camp pick-up occurs between 3:45-4:00pm at the following locations: Pick-up for children in Camp 1 takes place at the south parkade gate across from the Renaissance Room in the backyard by foot. Families can park in either of the aboveground parking lots and walk to the south gate. Pick-up for children in Camp 2 takes place at the front entrance of Place des Arts on Brunette Avenue by foot or by car. A Place des Arts staff member will greet families and will release children as they are ready. On the last day of camp, please bring a box or a large bag to bring home all of your child’s artwork at the end of the day.
Lunch and Snacks
• Place des Arts will not be selling snacks. • The kitchen will be closed, so there will be no access to the microwave, sink or utensils. • Place des Arts is a nut-free zone, please ensure all food and drinks are nut-free. • Children will take home all food packaging, food scraps, utensils, etc. in the same container. • Children will not share food or drinks. • Send food in containers that your child(ren) can open by themselves. If your child(ren) cannot open the container, please use an alternative.
No Nuts Please!
As some camp participants have nut allergies, Place des Arts is a nut free zone during Summer Fun! Please ensure all food brought to camp is nut-free (i.e. NO peanut butter, almond milk, Nutella, etc.).
