Hybrid Camp Overview
These week-long, bite-sized camps pack a punch of fun and creativity! The camps are 90 minutes and provide students the option of learning in-person from Place des Arts or online from home via Zoom to suit your child’s learning preference. Your child will explore their creativity, meet other kids and, of course, have lots of fun. Each camp for 5-7 and 8-12 years includes a combination of two 40-minute classes in the visual and/or performing arts. Camps for 11-14 years are offered in visual arts and are 90 minutes. Summer Fun! Hybrid Camps have a maximum of 5 in-person students in each classroom and a maximum of 5 students participating online, unless otherwise stated.
Hybrid Camps for 5-7 and 8-12 years
For ages 5-7 and 8-12, we recommend choosing one or two camps per week based on the interests and age range of your child(ren). Along with the teaching artist who will instruct the class, all online classes for 5-7 and 8-12 years will have a volunteer for the week. A 10-minute break is included after the first class, and the camp volunteer will transition your child to the next class virtually. Most in-person classes will also have a volunteer in the classroom and there will always be a volunteer or staff member to take students from their first classroom to their second classroom. For students ages 5-7 and 8-12 registered for both the morning and afternoon in-person camps, there is the option to register for Camp Care from 12:00-12:45pm. Please see the camp grids on pages 10-21 for more details.
Please refer to page 4 of this guide for important information regarding supply lists for these camps.
