Our health, fitness, and wellness program is growing in exciting fashion with Dr. Aaron Kilfoyle. This fall quarter, students can choose for-credit courses in health, cross and resistance training courses. Most SFCC students enrolled for 12 or more quarter credits can also participate in the outstanding, non-credit physical education program at the WSU Chinook and UREC Centers, having to cover only the workshop fee as WSU students do.
We are thrilled to have secured a $74,000 grant to support the growing STEM program at the CCS Pullman Center. Assistant Dean Patrick Forster and a faculty group including Dr. Linda Cook, Dr. Punam Dalai, Dr. Azeza Falghoush, and Clay McDonie, M.S., developed an ambitious proposal earlier in spring ’23 that rose to the top of SFCC’s annual resource grant selection process. The grant expands the laboratory education we offer STEM students at our Center.

We are thrilled to be part of the Lentil Festival Beer Garden again this year! We are looking for volunteers to help us Saturday August 19th. If you’re interested in helping raise funds for the animals of Whitman County, please contact us at 509-332-3422 or email us at admin@ whitmanpets.org
Kitten season is in full swing right now, there is currently about 30 kittens in the shelter. With the high volume of kittens, some of our supplies are running low. We are currently in need of laundry detergent, kitten dry food, and non-clumping unscented litter.

If you would like to donate, please visit our amazon wish list (https://a.co/jcruLhS) to see what we need the most!
If you are interested in adopting a kitten or more, please visit our website at https://www.whitmanpets.org/adoptable-pets.html to view the adoptable kittens.
We want to thank Pullman Heating and Electric for their generous donation of fixing our furnace. Thank you for helping the animals be as comfortable as possible during their temporary stay with us!

We really appreciate our community and the support that you provide! Thank you!
