Perry himself has overcome a childhood of poverty and abuse. “It is our greatest hope that the Genesis Annual Luncheon, highlighted this year by the awe-inspiring story of Tyler Perry, helps those experiencing domestic violence know that there is indeed help and hope for them to have the abuse-free lives they deserve," Genesis CEO Jan Langbein said.
