W północnej części miasta zlokalizowana jest podstrefa Wałbrzyskiej Specjalnej Strefy Ekonomicznej, obejmująca tereny o łącznej powierzchni 194,27ha.

Construction, chemical, and food companies feel at home here. Wałbrzych is also a growing center of the ceramic and automotive industry. In the northern part of the city, there is a sub-zone of the Special Economic Area in Wałbrzych that covers a total space of 194.27ha.
