World Water Day Held on 22 March every year since 1993, focuses on •March the importance of freshwater. World Water Day celebrates water and raises awareness of the 2.2 billion people living without access to safe water. It is about taking action to tackle the global water crisis


April April April 22 Earth Day Our planet is an amazing place, but it needs our help to thrive! That’s why each year on April 22, more than a billion people celebrate Earth Day to protect the planet from things like pollution and deforestation.


MAY 24 May European birds day World Migratory Bird Day celebrated on the second Saturday in May and second Saturday in October - is an annual global campaign dedicated to raising awareness of migratory birds and the need for international cooperation to conserve them.


June World Environment Day - held annually every June 5th. This day is celebrated to encourage awareness and environmental protection. Creating a positive change takes a global effort, from the smallest actions of individuals to those taken by local communities, schools, universities, businesses and world governments.

11 July Mondial population day World Population Day is an annual event, which aims to raise awareness about the problems of the global population. The event was established by the Governing Council of the United Nations Development Program in 1989.


August 09 August International Day of Zoos and Parks Every year, on August 9, the International Day of Zoos and Parks is celebrated around the world, with the aim of bringing to public attention the importance of biodiversity conservation.

25 : INTERNATIONAL MARINE DAY International Maritime Day is observed every year on the last Thursday of the month of September and this year it falls on September 30, 2021. The day is based on maritime safety and the maritime environment. The purpose of the day is to appreciate the importance of maritime industry and to underline the importance of maritime security, maritime environment, safety, and shipping.

04 : WORLD ANIMAL DAY Building the celebration of World Animal Day unites the animal welfare movement, mobilising it into a global force to make the world a better place for all animals. It's celebrated in different ways in every country, irrespective of nationality, religion, faith or political ideology.

08 : International DAY OF URBAN AREAS

Cities worldwide are increasingly suffering the effects of climate-related disasters, such as floods, droughts, sea level rise, heatwaves, landslides and storms. At least 130 port cities with over one million inhabitants are expected to be affected by coastal flooding and the one billion people in urban informal settlements are particularly at risk.

World Soil Day Each year on December 5th, World Soil Day highlights the importance of healthy soil. It’s also a day to advocate for the sustainable management of soil resources.
