It is a great family of six. : Joining GCR shortly after acquiring his first Porsche, a 911 Carrera, Pedro immediately immersed himself into the deep end of the Porsche community pool. In his first major event, he accompanied the Gold Coast Region on the Fall Tour to North Carolina last October. At the time Pedro met Ed Kohly and Ian Gerada and was treated to an awesome weekend of driving and legendary Porsche fellowship. Per Pedro, “I’ve had an opportunity to meet lots of folks from diverse backgrounds. It’s awesome to be a part of the action where cool cars and people come together to hangout.” The trip was a blast with great roads, beautiful accommodations, and fun peeps. in western North Carolina lend themselves to great Porsche pleasure driving. As Pedro suggests, “The mountains are calling, and I must go!” Pedro Luis Orama’s Porsche of choice is a 996 in Ocean Blue Metallic with Graphite Grey interior. What he considers to be a true analog modern-classic. He acquired his Carrera in June 2021. He is the second owner, and the 996 has only 22,868 miles on the odometer. It qualified as an awesome purchase for his first 911. This Porsche 911 was his original dream car as inspired by the introduction in the opening scene of his favorite movie: Gone in Sixty Seconds. Way back at the turn of the millennium (year 2000) Pedro was 15, he set a lofty goal. Pedro put a poster of the 996 above his desk to remind him what he wanted one day. Talk about setting and then achieving your goals, Prodigious! The 996 is far from stock as Pedro has upgraded the vehicle both thoughtfully, and tastefully. Modifications include: Bilstein PSS10 Performance Suspension System, Fabspeed Porsche 996 Carrera XperTune Performance Software, IPD Intake Plenum “Competition”, a genuine 997 GT3 82mm Porsche Throttle Body, BMC Air Filter, the Fister 996 3.4 Sport Muffler Exhaust Modification and Exhaust Tips. The exhaust tips are ceramic coated in Titanium for better heat insulation. He has also acquired a Genuine OEM Porsche Roof Transport System for road trips, as we all recognize that luggage and storage in the 911 is substantially less than the current SUV’s and past American road cruisers.
