From our aluminum flywheels to our CV shafts. However, it just seemed as though something was missing. What was it? The other half of the equation, C-L-U-T-C-H-E-S. Fidanza's new line of performance clutches is just what the clutch market has been needing and asking for. These are it. The perfect compliment to our flywheels, decades in the making.
TOO MANY QUESTIONS? NOT ENOUGH ANSWERS? Which plate do I use? How much clamp load do I need? Do I need four or six pads and should they be carbon or Kevlar®? It’s tough to know if your making the right choice when it comes to selecting a clutch kit. Most of the time you won’t know until you get it installed. That's all changed! Our catalog is easy to read. Our clutch kits are complete and make for an easy decision based on your vehicle and your driving habits. You get it right the first time. No more having to figure out which disc goes with which pressure plate. No more wondering why you have to spend extra money to get a new throw out bearing or other needed components.
GET THE KIT We know not all vehicles are the same. Not all drivers look for the same thing when purchasing a clutch. For this reason we offer four different levels of performance. From the mild to the wild. We’ve got the right clutch to suit your style. It’s all there. When purchasing one of our clutches you only need to know one part number, that’s it. Find the application you need, the level you want and you get it all, the pressure plate, the disc, the throw out bearing and the pilot tool. Wanna make it a combo? Add a lightweight aluminum flywheel.
THE RESOURCES Our clutches are designed for peak performance and we’ve made them extremely easy to purchase. Peak performance comes from engineering partnerships that allow us access to design and manufacturing capabilities that until now have been absent from the after-market. The ability to use the latest equipment, the best engineers and real world testing allows us to offer clutch designs with OE quality and after-market performance. We have partnerships with other top engineers. Access to the latest and greatest equipment and software. Most importantly we have a passion that can never be matched.

A CUT ABOVE Keep in mind that our clutches are born from performance materials and parts. This makes our clutches a cut above all the other manufacturers who assemble original equipment materials and parts then label it as a performance product.
CLAMP LOAD MEASUREMENT When reading this graph right to left you will see that a new disc has a clamp load of 1550 lbf. Which, if left alone, gradually gains in clamp load as it gets used. Eventually it will achieve peak performance. To claim that they have the highest clamp load, other clutch companies thin the disc to that specific point of peak performance (1650 lbf). However, unlike the new disc it does not gain clamp load. It loses it, until failure has rapidly occurred. Fidanza clutches not only have a higher clamp load, they get stronger as they wear. So not only do you get a stronger clutch, you get a clutch that will lasts.
PRESSURE PLATE Some performance clutch companies take a new clutch and thin out the disc in order to gain more clamp load. While this can increase the clamp load, it rapidly decreases clutch life. Without the proper testing and equipment, this may lead to an undesirable condition.

2.1 CARBON KEVLAR® Combine carbon and KEVLAR®, give them a steel backing and you have the most durable, longest lasting street clutch available. We’ve engineered our torsion damper and marcel cushion to engage smoothly yet quickly. Perfect for the daily drivers. We recommend this disc to those who drive their vehicle every day, in all conditions.

3.2 KEVLAR® Like our lightweight flywheels we choose to use the very best in materials. That’s why we designed our Three Point Two with Kevlar® buttons. With 100% Kevlar® friction you get more grip and more life than the Two Point One. With the increase in friction you’ll notice a little drop in drivability and a increase in performance. Even without the marcel the torsion damper gives this disc the ability to be used as daily driver. Just behave and be patient during its 500 mile break-in period. Once that’s over you can be as nasty as you want.

4.3 CERAMIC This is one mean clutch. Your footwork better be good, it’s no walk in the park. Just because it has a torsion damper like the Three Point Two doesn’t mean it drives like it. Those are ceramic buttons attached to that puck. They provide quite a grip upon engagement. That means power is planted straight to the pavement. Don’t be scared though, it’s not going to give you a larger left leg. Just quicker engagement.

5.4 SINTERED IRON If you choose Five Point Four your either building an all out race car or a rocket. This disc will show you what grip really feels like. As you can see there is no torsion damper, no marcel, and the pads are made from sintered iron. What you’ll feel - instantaneous power. This is for the racers.

ALUMINUM FLYWHEELS Our aluminum flywheels are made from the highest quality 6061 T6 aluminum. The material is fantastic for strength, heat dissipation and of course reduction in weight. The friction surface we use is an incredibly strong 1045 steel. The plates are milled to meet our high specifications. A Fidanza flywheel can mate with any type of clutch material, including organic, kevlar, ceramic, metallic and sintered iron. We attach the replaceable friction surface with military grade aerospace fasteners. With these replaceable plates there is no need to replace the entire flywheel when the clutch or flywheel is at the end of it’s life, saving time and money. The ring gears we use are also made from 1050 steel and are heat treated for durability. The gears are heated then pressed on and secured with grade 8 button screws. We were the first to utilize a stepped dowel system in most of our flywheel applications. This doweling method ensures that once the pressure plate is installed the dowels cannot be removed because they become locked into place. No chromemoly can compete with the awesome serviceability, strength and superior design of Fidanza’s aluminum flywheels. If there was a better material out there, we would be using it.

STEEL FLYWHEELS Our steel flywheel differ from the competition by being not only durable but serviceable. Another reason they out perform the competition is that the body is milled from a 1045 billet steel slab. The 1045 is a high carbon steel. It’s incredibly strong and can withstand the rigors of the most extreme engines, drivers and conditions. Of course all Fidanza steel flywheel include a serviceable 1045 steel insert for the clutch to ride on, which is attached using the highest quality aerospace fastener. We attach the ring gear just like we do with the aluminum flywheel. Each steel flywheel weighs approximately the same as the stock piece.

ADJUSTABLE CAM GEARS Fidanza adjustable cam gears are made from the highest quality 6061 T6 aluminum. They are CNC machined to more exacting tolerances than original gears.The tooth edges are beveled to increase belt life. With twelve degrees (both advance and retard) of laser etched adjustments you can be assured of proper and precise tuning. The inner ring is designed for strength, function, and precision. Stainless steel studs are threaded through the backside of the outer gear. The inner gear is then fastened with stainless steel nuts and lockwashers. This enables an increase in the amount of torque used to tighten the fasteners, with no risk of stretching to the aluminum threads. All chain drive gears have a 1050 steel outer sprocket. All belt drive gears are made from 6061 T6 aluminum.

FLEX PLATES Built for strength, our flex plates are designed with durability as the number one priority. Made from a high tensile steel that is milled to .030” thicker than the original. This design allows for incredible strength while still allowing for the flex that is required when the torque convertor balloons. After stamping, the heat treated ring gear is attached with double welds on both sides. The entire assembly is then yellow zinc plated.
CV Shafts Fidanza CV Shafts are designed for optimum strength and performance. Each CV Shaft has a rating of up to 300 HP. They incorporate outboard joints that are 30% stronger than stock joints, as well as a 4340-chromemoly outer joint stub. The shafts’ center tube is also 30% thicker than standard tubes, and is manufactured from high-tensile steel. Thick, rugged boots are loaded with high-temperature, high-pressure synthetic grease to protect and lubricate the CV Joints. All pertinent shafts include an ABS (anti-lock brake system) ring to ensure the system remains functional on ABS-equipped vehicles.
SHORT THROW ShiFTER There are so many short throw shifters on the market, however, only Fidanza has a shifter available that stands out amongst all others. These shifters are made from the highest quality aluminum and hardened steel. Three dimensional imaging and machining are used to get the finest profile for fit and functionality. The shorter the throw the quicker you go, and Fidanza will get you to the finish line first.

You will notice that there are four different part numbers. However, within one part number you receive the the pressure plate, disc, throw-out bearing and pilot tool. Section 1 is our Two Point One clutch kit. Section 2 is our Three Point Two clutch kit. Section 3 is our Four Point Three clutch kit. Section 4 is our Five Point Four clutch kit.

Fidanza part numbers are separated into two different categories. Depending on what type of flywheel you’re seeking. Section 1 is our Aluminum Flywheel and its’ weight. All weights can change without notice. Section 2 is our Steel Flywheel, which is comparable to the OEM weight. Section 3 is where you will find corresponding footnotes for application information. If there is a number within this column then please refer to page 28 for addition information regarding that application. Section 4 is the part numbers for our Replaceable Friction Plates for the Aluminum and Steel Flywheels. Hardware is included.

A late charge of 2% (24% annually) will be added to all past due invoices. 3. Fidanza Engineering Corporation reserves the right to terminate any account that fails to make payment when due. Any account that is past due more than 60 days will no longer be considered an active account and all invoices due will be turned over for collection. Collection fees incurred will be paid by the debtor as well as any incurred legal fees. FREIGHT: 1. All Fidanza Engineering Corporation shipments are F.O.B. Perry, Ohio 44081. 2. Fidanza Engineering Corporation reserves the right to choose the carrier on all prepaid shipments. 3. Drop shipments will be allowed with pre approval and are subject to a $10.00 handling charge per dropship location. 4. All shipping discrepancies must be reported within (5) business days of receipt of shipments. RETURN POLICY: 1. Any unauthorized return will be refused. You must call and receive a RGA number (Return Goods Authorization). This number must be displayed next to your return address and on the outside of your shipping container. 2. Fidanza Engineering Corporation will not accept returns over 30 days. There will be no exceptions. 3. Fidanza Engineering Corporation will not issue a cash refund on any merchandise returned. All returns will be used for future orders. 4. Defective merchandise will be exchanged upon receipt of said merchandise. 5. There is a 20% restocking fee on accepted returns, this excludes cores and special orders. 6. Special ordered items require a 50% deposit and normally are non-returnable. They also can not be canceled due to the fault of Fidanza Engineering Corporation or their supplier or their supplier of said merchandise. 7. All orders must be inspected upon receipt. Damages should be reported to the carrier immediately when the shipment is received. Damaged goods are the responsibility of the shipping company and it’s the customer’s responsibility to make claims with the shipping company when damage occurs. 8. All returns must include a copy of the original invoice or they will be returned. No credit will be issued. 9. Stock adjustments, of product in “as new” sellable condition, may be no more than 5% of previous years purchase with an offsetting order. LIMITED WARRANTY: Except for high performance parts, seller warrants this merchandise to be free from defects in material and workmanship for one year from date of purchase. This limited warranty is in lieu of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including, but not limited to, warranty of merchantability, and warranty of fitness for a particular purpose. SELLER DISCLAIMS ALL RESPONSIBILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR COMMERCIAL LOSSES, INCLUDING LABOR CLAIMS from use of this merchandise. If the merchandise fails to conform as warranted, deliver or... ship it to seller, freight prepaid, along with proof of purchase and note explaining defect, defective, merchandise will be repaired or replaced free of charge, or credit given at seller’s option. NO INDEPENDENT REPRESENTATIONS OR AGREEMENTS. There are no agreements outside of this written contract, except as the parties have elsewhere agreed in writing, nor has either party been induced to enter this agreement as the result of any oral representation or promise. Each party has relied on his own expertise and knowledge in entering this contract and each party acknowledges the consideration for the contract to be valuable and sufficient. CONSENT TO JURISDICTION: The parties agree that any dispute arising out of parts, service or information provided by Fidanza Engineering Corporation shall be decided by the courts of the state of Ohio and that no other court shall have jurisdiction over said dispute. Fidanza Engineering Corporation maintains no sales force, service facility or agents outside the state of Ohio. EMISSION CONTROL COMPLIANCE: Customers are responsible for emission control compliance (if any) of FEC’s engine and/or other components in their locality. Effective June 21, 2006.
