The Loxahatchee Guild is a nonprofit organization founded in 1981. The mission of the guild is to preserve and protect local history, particularly in northern Palm Beach County. This is done by raising funds for construction and maintenance of facilities, acquisition and restoration of historical structures, and educational programs. Its projects include the Jupiter Train Depot, the DuBois House, the Tindall House, and the Jupiter Lighthouse. Main Fundraising Event: Thirty-Fourth Annual Twilight in Paradise Gala Date: January 20, 2018 Location: Jonathan’s Landing Golf Club, Jupiter Description of Event: Twilight in Paradise is a celebration of the natural beauty in northern Palm Beach County. The thirty-fourth annual gala will include a silent auction, local cuisine, and lively music. Proceeds will support The Loxahatchee Guild’s local historic preservation projects. Its mission is to advance understanding and treatment of mental illness and to erase its stigma through support of the Department of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General, rated the No. 1 general hospital psychiatry program by U.S. News & World Report. Main Fundraising Event: Twelfth Annual Seminar and Luncheon Date: March 1, 2018 Location: Casa Bendita, Palm Beach Description of Event: The “Research Advances and Treatment Innovations in Mental Health” Annual Seminar Luncheon will feature talks by leading experts in psychiatry and neuroscience, followed by a panel discussion.
