Gaines leads the Center for Enterprise Opportunity, which has provided more than $11.5 million in loans to small, Black, and women-owned businesses. She led the community to establish the Minority/Women Business Enterprise Ordinance in Palm Beach County, and is a founding member of the local National Coalition of 100 Black Women, the Coalition for Black Student Achievement, and UNIFY. Gaines currently serves as co-chair of the Social Action Committee of the WPB Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Goss serves as chairman of the South Florida Water Management District’s Governing Board, after being appointed to the board by Governor Ron DeSantis. Goss’ top priorities for the agency include expediting the EAA Reservoir Project, reducing harmful algal blooms in South Florida’s waterways, and ensuring there is enough water to meet the needs of our environment and our communities. Goss grew up on Sanibel Island and currently lives in South Florida with his wife and three sons.
HOMETOWN: West Palm Beach, Florida EDUCATION: Howard University (B), Florida State University (JD) FIRST JOB: Member of the Teen Board at Jordan Marsh at the original Palm Beach Mall. We did what was called “freeze modeling.” We would be in our mannequin poses (not even blinking) and when we changed positions and suddenly moved, customers would shriek! FAVORITE PALM BEACH COUNTY RESTAURANT: Echo in Palm Beach, for the Palm Beach Roll and the Northern Star (vodka and lychee cocktail) BEST ADVICE RECEIVED: “You got this!” were always the words of support and love from the most inspiring person I know, my mother.
FIRST JOB: Windsurfing instructor SECRET TO HIS SUCCESS: Take what you do seriously and be proud of your work, but never take yourself too seriously or become prideful. TOUGHEST CHALLENGE FACED: I have run for public office three times and am batting .333 with one win and two seconds. Running for office is incredibly challenging, and I have tremendous respect for anyone who is willing to do it as well as for their families. TOP OF HIS BUCKET LIST: Kitesurfing WHO WOULD PLAY HIM IN A BIOPIC: My sons; they do a really good Dad impression.

As the executive director of Boca Helping Hands—a multiservice agency that helps to meet the basic needs of Palm Beach County’s underserved residents— Hazle helps clients achieve self-sufficiency through job training. Prior to this role, he served as a senior executive at local Fortune 500 companies NextEra and Cemex. He and his wife, Tina, live in Boca Raton and have two daughters and three grandkids.
Hamilton’s career started in Dallas, Texas, as an executive with Boy Scouts of America. He quickly rose in leadership roles such as development director. His skill set led him to New Orleans, Louisiana, to assume the COO position. He and his family now call Palm Beach home. He is married to his college sweetheart and they have four children and a hamster named Spot-Spot. HOMETOWN: Shreveport, Louisiana EDUCATION: Grambling State University FIRST JOB: Kroger’s grocery store FUNNIEST WORKPLACE EXPERIENCE: I once fell asleep interviewing a potential new hire. FIRST JOB: Process engineer in a Bauxite processing plant in Jamaica SECRET TO HIS SUCCESS: The “no problem” attitude that all Jamaicans are born with. LESSON LEARNED: Life’s not fair.
