Cindy Christensen Home Design Q: What is your design inspiration? A: The inspiration for my designs comes from nature in every form—movement, colors, patterns and shapes. I also find inspiration in every client’s personal collections. Refining and applying these influences to reflect the desires and design aesthetics of my clients is the essence of great design. Accurately interpreting their unique lifestyles and personal visions allows me to create designs that elicit a sense of warmth, joy, pleasure and satisfaction, all of which are priceless. Q: What are the latest trends in your industry? A. Interiors that resonate in today’s market offer classic simplicity with a clean, refreshing look that is dramatic yet practical. Open spaces that exude elegance, style and relaxed comfort are preferred over the more formal spaces of the past. In today’s
world, that’s the hallmark of great design—clean, uncluttered lines; elegance sourced in simplicity; and a sense of comfort that acknowledges a home is meant to be lived in, not to simply function as a showpiece. Q: What is your area of specialization? With nearly three decades of award-winning design experience, Cindy Christensen is one of Southwest Florida’s most accomplished interior designers. While a heralded and widely sought-after designer in Chicago, she created the concept of custom home makeovers that refresh, revitalize and rejuvenate luxury residences.
