FROM THE PUBLISHER
Passion & Purpose
As I fl ip through this year’s issue of Naples Charity Register,
I am certain of one thing: Generosity will abound this season. It is wonderful to read that popular and cherished events have returned, particularly in light of the immense need Hurricane Ian left in its wake, and to learn about new nonprofits that have formed to address unmet needs, thanks to the many watchful eyes in our compassionate community.
Growing up in Baltimore, Maryland— one of fi ve children—I was blessed and fortunate to have parents who raised me with unconditional love, a gift I treasure. In this year’s issue, we highlight several charities working to ensure Collier County youth want for naught. Charity is an act of love, and it warms me to know that local children are receiving a healthy dose.
My parents were people who gave with passion and purpose, and I learned at an early age how good it feels to help others. Since moving to Naples more than 17 years ago, I have attended numerous fundraising luncheons and events, and I am humbled to see all the time and talents committed, as well as all the paddles raised to benefi t these many worthy causes. I am always in awe of the sincere generosity that exists among us.
I am honored to be a Neapolitan and to take the helm of Naples Charity Register from my highly capable predecessor, Kaleigh Grover, who was passionate about giving back to this community. I encourage you to give from the heart this season and to experience just how rewarding it is to contribute to a community that aff ords us so much. us so much.
