Meeting Community Needs
As Southwest Florida recovers from the devastating effects of
Hurricane Ian, supporting our local charities is more important than ever. Naples’ unparalleled philanthropic spirit has always been a beacon in dark days, and it has been truly touching to see this community come together to heal and rebuild. The Naples Charity Register is proud to support the efforts of local nonprofits so they can be there for our neighbors in need.
There are hundreds of nonprofits that serve as Collier County’s social safety net, working tirelessly to make this place—our home—stronger and more vibrant. Each nonprofit relies on the gracious generosity of Collier County residents to help them meet critical needs in this community, from basic needs and social services to art, the environment, animal welfare, historic preservation, and education.
The Naples Charity Register is a 22-year tradition introduced by the publishers of Naples Illustrated to showcase the effervescent events and invaluable impact of local charitable organizations and passionate philanthropists.
This year, the Naples Charity Register showcases some of the record-breaking events of the past season (page 29), efforts to assuage the local affordable housing crisis (page 32), and recent successes in housing homeless military veterans (page 40). We also examine the many ways that nonprofits are lifting youth and teens (page 44), track the latest trends in charitable giving (page 34), and highlight a selection of new 501(c)(3) organizations that have arisen in the past few years to address unmet needs (page 100).
Keep your planning calendar handy as you look ahead to this sparkling gala season through 102 charity event listings (page 55). We hope you are inspired by the Naples Charity Register to support the causes that are important to you to keep Collier County the vibrant community that it is today. Though the outcome is vital, these fun events are ideal opportunities to break out your finest threads, meet like-minded neighbors, and partake in memorable—often immersive—experiences that you will only find in Naples.
