he Admiral’s Quarters and Captain’s Quarters offer superior ambience for lunches, dinners, or cocktail parties. Wood paneling, unique artwork, and two connecting spaces define the area that welcomed senior officers’ guests. Reserve the space as single dining areas or combined rooms. Table settings, with dinnerware, are available. Our adjacent LTF conference room can also be utilized.

LEADERSHIP TRAINING FACILITY The Leadership Training Facility is perfect for training workshops, corporate meetings, small events or retreats. The available adjacent spaces include the conference room, a breakout room, and the Admiral’s and Captain’s Quarters. Special features include flat screen TVs, Internet access, convenient restroom facilities and an attached catering kitchen. All areas are Wi-Fi capable with accent lighting, sound system, heating and air conditioning.

South Pier & Fantail SOUTH PIER OUTDOOR DOCK Our pier offers opportunities for waterside events directly adjacent to the USS YORKTOWN. USS YORKTOWN FANTAIL Located on the rear deck of the YORKTOWN, the fantail is an enormously popular venue. The overhead aft section of the ďŹ&#x201A;ight deck provides shelter from the elements with views of the Charleston Harbor and Charlestonâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s historic district. Smokey Stover Theater SMOKEY STOVER THEATER The Smokey Stover Theater offers seating for more than 250 people, and can accommodate sophisticated audio and visual needs. The raised stage enables presentations and other public speaking. The theater hosts events as diverse as seminars, education classes, media coverage, and special movie showings. The Hangar Bay space immediately outside the theater facilitates pre- and post-event receptions.

THE GROVE The Grove is a sheltered, wooded 3.5 acre site on Patriots Pointâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s landside. Surrounded by trees, and with grass throughout, this spot is ideal for a wide variety of events that call for a comfortable outdoor setting, segregated from other activities. The Grove has been the site for weddings, concerts, food events, exhibits and other types of activities.

The Vietnam Experience

THE VIETNAM EXPERIENCE EXHIBIT The interactive Vietnam Experience Exhibit, located landside of the YORKTOWN, accommodates a wide variety of events, from reunions and recognition ceremonies, to oyster roasts and barbecues. Guests will enjoy being immersed in this representation of a typical support base camp from the war, socializing among authentic and rare Vietnam-era artifacts, such as the CH-46 Sea Knight and MK1 River Patrol Boat. The Quonset Hut, our newest addition to the exhibit, now provides indoor, climate controlled space with tables and seating. Capacity: 350 Space: 3.5 acres

WARDROOM This climate controlled venue is perfect for smaller groups of up to 75. The Wardroom has been a popular choice for business retreats, meetings and classic gatherings. Capacity: Seated 75 Square Feet: 2,520

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS What types of venues do you have available at Patriots Point? With spaces to fit 15 to 3,500 people, we are likely to have at least one venue option that will be ideal for your group’s size and other needs. There are spaces on board the YORKTOWN, as well as outside on our grounds. Some of our enclosed spaces are climate controlled.

Tenting is permitted on the Flight Deck and all piers, as well as in areas off the ship. At this time, Patriots Point does not offer tenting; however, we can provide you with a list of local vendors. For more information, please contact the Events Rentals Department, (843) 881-5989 or EventsRentals@patriotspoint.org.

Is security available for events? What are the costs of renting the venue? Rental prices are quoted upon request and based on spaces used for the event. A basic guideline to prices for all of our spaces is available. Additionally, audio/visual, parking, optional tours, and other costs are itemized and available for your review while planning your event. To get quotes, please contact the Events Rentals Department, (843) 881-5989 or EventsRentals@patriotspoint.org.

How do I hold a date? After a client expresses firm interest in a space, the desired date of your event will be placed on hold, while space availability is checked and confirmed. Once the client approves the reservation, Patriots Point will send a contract and a 50% deposit of the total fee is required. Deposits are nonrefundable; but in the event that you must cancel, this amount can be applied to a future event.

What time can my event start and end? Rental fees are based on a four hour event minimum, with events generally scheduled from 9AM-10:30PM. All times are subject to compatibility, availability, and other Patriots Point functions. Please note, overtime charges will be incurred for each additional hour or portion thereof.

Is there parking available for guests at the venue? Parking is available at the Patriots Point parking lot, within walking distance of all venues. Parking is charged at $5 per vehicle per day.

Patriots Point provides a public safety officer for every special event. Large events (such as concerts, proms and parties) may require the use of off-duty Mount Pleasant Police Officers. This will be coordinated through the Events Department.

Is smoking permitted at Patriots Point? There is no smoking permitted anywhere on board the USS YORKTOWN or USS LAFFEY. Smoking is permitted outdoors in a designated area below Elevator Three.

Do you have access for persons with disabilities? We are ADA compliant, with an elevator on board the YORKTOWN providing access to the Hangar Bay Level, Flight Deck, and Quarters. Accessibility for each venue space should be discussed in advance of confirming a location with the Events Coordinator.

Can banners, signs or other décor be hung in the event area? Banners and signs are permitted. Existing museum signage cannot be moved. Nothing can be hung from, or applied to, our exhibits. All event signage must be removed at the conclusion of an event. Please speak to the Events Rentals Department regarding specific rules, (843) 881-5989 or EventsRentals@patriotspoint.org.

Does the USS YORKTOWN have air conditioning? Some inside spaces are both air conditioned and heated. Please discuss specific spaces in advance with the Events Manager.

Do you have an onboard caterer?

Top Shelf Catering Company is the official caterer of Patriots Point. Top Shelf provides affordable, high-quality catering and service for all events with a full-range menu to fit any occasion. Outside caterers are allowed, but if your event is booked with Top Shelf, you get a significant discount on your venue space fee. Can more than one event occur at the same time? The Events Rentals Department will determine the types and number of events that may occur simultaneously to make sure that the events will not interfere with one another, and that they will not be disruptive to daily visitors.
