South Pier Outdoor Dock Our pier offers opportunities for waterside events directly adjacent to the USS YORKTOWN. Smokey stover Theater The Smokey Stover Theater is a gem, offering seating for 261 people. This space handles sophisticated audio/visual needs. The raised stage enables presentations and other public speaking. The theater hosts events as diverse as seminars, education classes, media coverage, and special movie showings. The theater is the solution to complex logistics and events that have both social and educational facets. Hangar Bay space immediately outside the theater facilitates event registration and pre- and post-event receptions.

Admir al’s & Captain’s Quarters The Admiral’s Quarters and Captain’s Quarters offer superior ambience for lunches, dinners, or cocktail parties. Wood paneling, unique artwork, and two connecting spaces define the area that welcomed senior officers’ guests in bygone decades. Today, the Quarters can be reached by elevator, and feature period touches. Reserve the space as single dining areas or combined rooms. Table settings, with dinnerware used by the Navy’s top officers, are available. An adjacent conference room adds flexibility.

Leadership tr aining facility Housed in a portion of the Admiral’s and Captain’s in-port quarters, the newly renovated Leadership Training Facility is perfect for training workshops, corporate meetings, small events or a grand dining experience. A contemporary spin on 1950s era décor provides modern technology and conveniences while giving a nod to the days of heroes gone by. The spaces include special features such as flat screen TVs, Internet access, windows overlooking the Hangar Bay, two adjacent breakout rooms, convenient restroom facilities and an attached catering kitchen. These spaces are Wi-Fi capable with accent lighting, sound system, heating and air conditioning. The Vietnam Experience Exhibit The interactive Vietnam Experience Exhibit, located landside of the YORKTOWN, accommodates a wide variety of events, from reunions and recognition ceremonies, to oyster roasts and barbecues. Guests will enjoy being immersed in this representation of a typical support base camp from the war, socializing among authentic and rare Vietnam-era artifacts, such as the massive CH-46 Sea Knight and MK1 Patrol River Boat—only one of two left in existence. This location offers grassy areas as well as indoor space with tables and seating in the exhibit’s mess hall. ❖ Square Feet: 3.5 acres

USS LAFFEY FANTAIL Located on the rear deck of the USS LAFFEY, the fantail is a unique venue. Enjoy water views and harbor breezes with the protection of overhead cover. Frequently Asked questions What types of venues do you have available at Patriots Point?

Can more than one event occur at the same time?

There are many spaces available aboard the YORKTOWN and on our grounds, suitable for a wide variety of events. Some spaces are indoors aboard the ship, and either open to weather or enclosed. Others are outside, off the ship. Some spaces are climate controlled. We are likely to have at least one space that will be ideal for your group size and other needs.

The Events Rentals Department will determine the types and number of events that may occur simultaneously to make sure that events will not interfere with one another, and that they will not be disruptive to daily visitors.

What are the costs of renting the venue? Rental prices are quoted upon request and based on spaces used for the event. A basic guideline to prices for all of our spaces is available. Additionally, audio/visual, parking, optional tours, and other costs are itemized and available for your review while planning your event.

How do I hold a date? After a client expresses firm interest in a space, the desired date of your event will be placed on hold, while space availability is checked and confirmed. Once the client approves the reservation, Patriots Point will send a contract, and a 50% deposit of the total fee is required. Deposits are non-refundable; but in the event that you must cancel, this amount can be applied to a future event. What time can my event start and end? Rental fees are based on a three to five-hour event. See our Location Fees list for specifics for each space. Overtime charges will be incurred for each additional hour or portion thereof. Generally, events may be scheduled 6AM-10:30PM, subject to compatibility, availability, and other Patriots Point functions.

Is there parking available for guests at the venue? Parking is available at the Patriots Point parking lot, within walking distance of all venues. Parking is charged at $5 per vehicle per day.

Do you have an onboard caterer? Top Shelf Catering Company is the official caterer of Patriots Point. Top Shelf provides affordable, high-quality catering and service for all events. With a full-range menu to fit any occasion, Top Shelf is the only caterer permitted when hosting an event on site. Please discuss all catering and service needs, such as bartending or tables/chairs, with Patriots Point and Top Shelf Catering at 843.375.1366.

Is tenting permitted? Tenting is permitted on the Flight Deck and all piers, as well as in areas off the ship.

Is security available for events? Patriots Point provides a public safety officer for every special event. Large events (such as concerts, Proms and parties) may require the use of off-duty Mount Pleasant Police Officers. This will be coordinated through the Events Department.

Is smoking permitted at Patriots Point? There is no smoking permitted anywhere aboard the USS YORKTOWN or USS LAFFEY. Smoking is permitted outdoors in a designated area below Elevator Three.

Do you have access for persons with disabilities? We are ADA compliant, with an elevator aboard the YORKTOWN providing access to the Hangar Bay Level, Flight Deck, and Quarters. Accessibility for each venue space should be discussed in advance of confirming a location with the Events Coordinator.

Can banners, signs or other dĂŠcor be hung in the event area? Banners and signs are permitted. Please speak to the Events Rentals department regarding specific rules. Existing museum signage cannot be moved. Nothing can be hung from, or applied to, our exhibits. All event signage must be removed at the conclusion of an event.

Does the USS YORKTOWN have air conditioning? Some inside spaces are both air conditioned and heated. Please discuss specific spaces in advance with the Events Manager.
